A circular walk from Street Gate up the bridleway towards Arncliff Cote, then onto Clapham High Mark, across to the Parson's Pulpit, then west to the new summit for me at Height, and down to the Arncliff bridleway, then back by Middle House Farm, over Great Close Hill to Street Gate. Then a quick nip up Abbot Hills. 12.7km with 570m ascent taking 3h 40m. | silverwolf_alan | 25/12/2022 |
From Street Gate with C after Great Close Hill, also visiting Height and Parson’s Pulpit. | PeterD | 11/07/2022 |
Route from Kilnesey to Proctor High Mark - Clapham High Mark - Height - Parsons Pulpit. Lovely walk, pathless over interesting limestone country, with great views and very quiet. Only issue being big limestone walls - with no paths its hard to plot a course to anticipate gates etc, and long stretches of solid wall! With care they are all passable though. | MrChris1980 | 04/05/2022 |

Part of Run around High Mark. Lots of old bell pits | HardenC | 09/02/2022 |
en route to Parson's Pulpit, from Street Gate to SW, went past and tried to identify summit on level plateau, but for a hillock with an embedded prominent rock at SD 91789 67638. | henryfm | 30/06/2021 |
A circular round of Malham Moors with Chris from SD 947 655, visiting Proctor High Mark, Clapham High Mark, Parson’s Pulpit and Great Close Hill and back along Mastiles Lane. 18km with 550m ascent in 5h50m. | silveracorn_alan | 19/03/2021 |
2/5 From Malham Tarn, Great Close Hill, down to Middle Farm, round South of walls to get Clapham High Mark, Parson's Pulpit and Proctor High Mark, then down to Mastiles Lane and back to pick up Abbot Hills. A nice walk 5 hours total. Only one small easy wall, just directly West of the summit of Proctor High Mark. Key to that one was to walk up to the two stones balanced on each other, after Parson's Pulpit, and curve round the natural valley to find this wall. | nickywood1 | 17/10/2020 |
Sleets Gill Bridge -> Proctor High Mark -> Clapham High Mark -> Parsons Pulpit -> Cote Gill -> Sleets Gill Bridge | briandiggle | 15/06/2020 |
Round of Clapham High Mark, Parsons Pulpit, Proctor High Mark, Great Close Hill and Abbot Hills from Street Gate. 9 miles, 3 hours 26m. A lot of the route was pathless but it is still fairly easy going. | clivevilla | 08/06/2020 |
Roadside parking on Malham Moor Road (roughly SD 955 652). First visited Malham Moor, before setting out in a big arc to the north to bag Proctor High Mark, Clapham High Mark and Parson's Pulpit. A few awkward wall crossings where no convenient stile or gate. Joined Monk's Road from Arncliff and followed it to Middle House Farm. Then popped up the super little Great Close Hill and later Abbot's Hill, before returning along Mastiles Lane. 20km with 670m ascent in 6 hours. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 16/05/2020 |
Drizzly circuit from SSW, Street Gate, both summits, then Back Pasture and Highfolds and a line of OS BMs back to start, Probably visited Height to NW too [certainly did on a sunny Sunday pm 27/02/22 [knoll at SD 91248 68331] | RHW | 23/11/2019 |

3rd top of 10 today on a 34.5km route from Malham to Settle climbing up beside Malham Cove then over to the Abbot Hills and Great Close Hill descending NE over a gate across a field to climb a wall corner then across pasture to access land, followed part-way by indignant Baaing sheep, climbing to the top then across to the alternative summit (with better views). I continued in an Easterly direction towards Proctor High Mark.... | Dazingdale | 25/03/2018 |
Directish from Great Close Scar. Cloud down and driving sleet, luckily pushing us. Very wet on bridleway back to Street Gate. Jogged back to Gordale Bridge. 4 hours. | Wycombe Wanderer | 25/11/2017 |

A great off the beaten track 5 hr walk circuit with L and Martha the spaniel, linking hills on obscure lists - a 2000ft Moss / Wright on south ridge of Fountains Fell ,then after a bit of the PW branched off for a sub-Four (Highfolds) - fantastic labyrinth of limestone pavements and old crumbled walls then via Middle House farm up open fell side to luckily easy wall and wire to do both tops of this sub-Dewey. Back on f'path and track via Malham Tarn field studies centre. Martha the spaniel flagging - not being used to such unusual and lengthy dog walks. | Chris Pearson | 30/10/2017 |
Plenty of parking available at Street Gate junction – NE up Bridleway & then up SE ridge to unmarked summit – NW for about ½km to the more obvious alternative summit. Continued to Parson’s Pulpit & Proctor High Mark. (PM) | gerrybowes | 30/06/2017 |

Straight up from Middlehouse Farm. Footpath takes you onto Access Land. There is a gate near the alternative summit, the better of the two high points. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 31/03/2017 |

Parked in the car park at Low Trenhouse then walked to the east of Malham Tarn then Great Close Hill, Clapham High Mark, High Mark, Proctor High Mark, Kilnsey Moor Trig, Malham Moor, The Weets then heading back via the Roman Camp and Street Gate on a warm sunny day. | Dugswell2 | 15/07/2014 |
An easy walk from Street Gate. Ample parking in the area though warning notices advise not to leave anything in the car. | moorsman | 30/01/2014 |
With Jo, out and back walk from Street Gate to Clapham High Mark. Weather; high cloud, occasional sunny intervals, cold wind, good visibility. My GPS showed the alternative summit at SD 91342 67983 as being higher – whatever, what is not in dispute is that it is a better viewpoint than the main top, especially in the direction of Malham Tarn. | amblerbob | 12/11/2013 |
From Street Gate along with Proctor High Mark. Snow mostly gone except on highest ground. Small weather station not far from summit of hill. HP debatable. | Aye Jimmy | 16/02/2013 |
