Owner of Weets House not at home, but good verge parking to the side of Pennine Bridleway & gable end of house - NE up RoW for about 250m & then forked left on track to trig point.gerrybowes07/02/2024
Pleasant walk up from Letcliff Park via Folly Lane and Pendle Way and down via Duck Pond Farm. Lovely views even if the tops of the Dales fells were in the clouds. Unseasonably warm 20 celsius. Did Colne Edge the way back home.Jake99407/10/2023
Visited Weets Hill with Christine, Geoff, and Steve on the 6th day of our C2C. Today from Barley to Pinhaw, a distance of 20km with 640m ascent taking us 6 hours.silverwolf_alan06/04/2023

4/6 in the area around Colne, visiting Sheep Hill, Law Hill, Colne Edge, Weets Hill, Wheathead Height, and Stang Top Moor. Followed the Pendle Way up the NE side of Weets Hill from Barnoldswick to the trig at the summit, down the same way. A pity the distant views were not better due to the murky day. A round trip of 5 km with 220m ascent in 1h 10 mins. (S)silveracorn_alan09/01/2022

Started from Barnoldswick and took the path to the path to Duck Pond Farm to see the 2 heads. Carried on to Gisburn Old Road and on to Weets House where it was an easy walk to the Trig. From here it was back down the road until we reached the track called Lister Well Road across White Moor. Took a right past Copy Nook to Salterforth where we took the Canal towpath back to BarnoldswickWayne Mac04/10/2018
Easy from limited parking at Weets House. Good views.Mark Sims04/05/2018
Parked on Sycamore Way in Barnoldswick and then walked up Moorgate Road and Folly Lane.Missed the turning of the Pendle Way away from Folly Lane, so we carried on along Folly Lane too far. Once we were on access lane, just past Duck Pond Farm, a boggy path took us towards the summit. The view from the top is tremendous, especially towards Pendle Hill. In descent we followed the Pendle Way to Folly Lane and back to Sycamore Way. With JT and HT.Sprog01/04/2018
walked from the centre of Barnoldswick via Folly Lane with my better half. Cold and windy, but firm underfoot. Parking still free in the town which is a bonus! could see for miles (between the snow flurries). Lots of interest, with great views all round.Lister-Man26/02/2018
Parked in Barnoldswick and walked up via Folly Lane. Public Footpath sign missing where direct path leaves Bridleway. Wet below and above. Reminded me of A.W.: no bad weather, only wrong clothes.IanHHill08/02/2018
What a viewpoint! Must rank with the best in England. You can spend a few happy minutes identifying a whole range of hills from High Street to Ingleborough and beyond. Parking by Weets Farm and a ten minute easy stroll to the summit.moorsman27/10/2017
4th hill of 6 today on a route from Gargrave to Barrowford, climbing Micklerber Hill, Acliffe Hill and Nutter Cote Hill, passing throigh Elslack and Thorton-in-Craven then continuing to Barnoldswick for lunch before continuing on Pendle way, veering off to climb to the trig and summit.Dazingdale21/10/2017

With Chris Watson from Weets House farm. After attending Rob Woodall's (RHW) bagging of his 6000th non-pillar flush bracket in Brierfield. In Joe Bates 'Rambles twixt Pendle & Holme' published in 1926 (Price Sixpence 6d). He describes a route walking from Nelson to Weets of which he says 'The views are too extensive and the points of natural and historic interest too numerous to be given in detail. The best thing to do is to make the adventure to Weets on a fine day and discover the details for yourself'.' It is obvious from the book that back in the 1920s the road over the moors was the Gisburn Old Road and that the 'new' road past the Moorcock Inn was already in existence. And that it was not in good repair - 'very sloppy in the bottom'.Martin R15/12/2012
It's true - daft as it sounds. Eighteen turned out to look at a flush bracket on a pub wall!Pleasant lunch with fellow nutters of the hill and trig bagging fraternity. I think they are slightly crazier than us!chriswatson15/12/2012
