4th Hill of 7 today from Millhouse green, climbing Upper Whitely Edge, Wood Royd Hill and Cheese Gate Nab befpre following Kirklees way. Easy access by footpath then easy fence to either roll under or climb over. Trig lies forlornly on the slopes. Summit is on the edge. Short walk up public footpath from just W of pub in Thurstonland. Trig on top. Fine viewpoint.Aye Jimmy02/03/2013
The road signs call this Cold Hill. Parking on the road south of the summit is very limited... Perhaps a couple of well pulled-in cars only. Short scramble up the hill to the open field and then direct to the trig point via two easy to cross barbed wire fences. One alongside the trig requires more daring/agility though.moorsman27/01/2013
Vicious barb wire all around to deal with. From the footpath to the south, I too parked just past the farm. With cabe.simon and co25/08/2012

Trig / 300m top bagging on way to work from Sheffield to QE near York for Open Morning. Industrial heritage is all around here with many tall weavers cottages with rows of windows on top floor to let in maximum light for home weaving ( before the mills). One of the labourers in 1850 digging the rail tunnel to the north ( through this ridge of high ground that runs from Sheffield to Huddersfield) had a horrible accident and was thereafter known as Bill Bah't 'Ands.Chris Pearson05/06/2011
