From Bucknell Hill South Top via Meeroak Farm. Walked through unusual spruce plantation - the trees spaced further apart than usual, growing short and stout, and with grass between them. Red route bike trail, meandering through the sunlit glades and bluebells looked superb; must come back.Wycombe Wanderer29/05/2022

Parked at col W of Bedstone for 3 Tumps: Hopton Titterhill (E side of summit has a lot of storm damage), Bucknell Hill and South Top.PGCE23/12/2021
Second bag from the Heart of Wales Line Trail Day 1.Rob Rees25/10/2021
Sodden wet with low rain clouds there was little to see on this walk until later on nearer Bucknell; indeed Frankie Howerd might have said 'titter ye not'. It had started well alighting the train at Hopton station and visiting the nearby castle remains, the forest providing some shelter at least from the persistent heavy rain.JOHNS07/08/2021
19 mile circular clun-Bucknell-Clun. Phone app and internet not working at this point so had trouble finding summit but got there in the end. One of the most obvious summits one can ever see probably. Looks like it should have a slide going down it. A hard day's walk in cold, flooded Shropshire. My phone died on us, many wrong turns. Instincts brought us back to Clun on this slog. Navigation seems fairly challenging around here. Hit by a huge storm when we were at our most exhausted.tumpawumpa18/02/2020
From Bucknell Hill, mostly on the MTB red route. Distinctive tiny summit ridge, though views from the top rather limited. Back via forest tracks to Bucknell - a nice day to be out.milimana03/02/2020
From the cp to the north. Good tracks through pleasant woodland and up final outcrop.Campbell Singer06/10/2019
With Minnie, Black Hill from Fiddlers Elbow via forestry tracks, Trig fairly straightforward as some new felling been done, then Hopton Titterhill from parking area, no views from either so went up Warfield Bank after a wander round Hopton Castle, Warm dry & Sunny, a good day to be out.apricorum25/02/2019
From MTB car park with C, good tracks to follow all the way to top. Large mound just off red route, with well trodden path to top.PeterD25/08/2018

Forest track from the SE into the large summit glade with distinct high point. No views but lunch in the warm sunshine.RichardM26/03/2017
HP is a delightful sun trap clear of trees , but sheltered by them, on a small rocky grassy ridglet . Approached from path to south. Area of MTB tracks but we saw no bikers despite gorgeous clear sunny weather.Denise 26/03/2017
From woodland car park to NW. Wide forest tracks mostly - beware of cyclistas! Some forestry operation to be avoided around SO 3527 7740. Nice prominent, wooded mound NE side of track.jonglew25/03/2017
Sunny walk up from the mountain bike car park.Dugswell225/03/2017
Up to roadend and then past Meeroak farm. Completely missed the path heading for the forest and into field with an enormous bull. Must concentrate in future! Clear paths and few bikes about. Sunday early pm. The red route looks a cracker in places. Summit came as something of a suprise walking up towards it seemed likely the top would be on the otherside of the track than it was. A nice little suntrap anyway. 6th top of the day with LW.stig_nest08/05/2016
With stig_nest. Missing the footpath did mean bumping into some HUGE bulls.. Needless to say, stig was not as keen to stroke one of the bulls as he was to stroke the friendly cow on Caynham fort earlier in the day!Laura.W08/05/2016
On bike of course.fasgadh21/10/2015

from car park at 349779. Bikers everywhere. On forest roads and with compass to a track 50' beneath the hill fort top. 12.00.arranc26/10/2014
From NW, FC car park RHW21/09/2013
Bagged with my friend David, after doing Black Hill. Parked in the car park to the west, then skirted around to the SE. Easy enough to the summit, but returned via better paths to the west. Views obscured by trees mostly.Chingwakabungya31/05/2013
Don't miss the Forestry Commission car parking area west of Hopton Castle village. Set at 1066 ft it gives you a good start with an easy walk to the top.moorsman15/05/2013
The summit is fairly clear of forest, the mountain bike tracks made this a lot easier navigationally.JohnStoneham26/08/2012
