Final hill of 14km circuit from Great Witley, continuing from Rodge hill by taking parallel footpath via pasture back to road then footpath Ne of quarry that climbs up before heading East and then onto another fp that headas North, I climbed over a horse feature to get over fence then walked parallel with path till I was able to climb embankment and walk along to pyramid. I visited high point to the West as well before dropping onto a path that links up with the footpath and I followed footpaths all the way back to Great Witley...Dazingdale25/11/2023

On a walk from Great Witley, taking in Woodbury, Rodge Hill, Walsgrove Hill and Abberley Hills. A fine hillfort on a lovely morning, although the 'no footpath' signs diminished the joys of what would have been a very good site. Onwards to Rodge Hill.thesweetcheat02/04/2022
Parked to the north. Good tracks to cairn. Many signs saying 'no footpath', ignore them.Play2End05/03/2022

Parked outside Home Farm and followed footpath, turning right at information board. Clear route to summit.Ramblingpaul03/07/2018
Hp is on ancient defensive embankment, marked by 2.5m high pyramidal stone cairn with initials JFCB. Trees obscure the view.Denise 21/03/2018
By path from the SSW to iron age hill fort planted with conifer forest and apparently no access issues. 2.5m pyramid stone monument on top of bank feels most appropriate high point though west end of the bank is of similar height.RichardM21/03/2018
From the west. Complex row into wood next to horse farm and stables. Up wooded cross country gallops to top with crumbling pyramid adjacent.Campbell Singer18/07/2017
18km 5hr walk over 3 tumps with L and the collie dogs Spot and Jess from our farm sit 3 day weekend to the east. We were feeling very peckish having no lunch with us, (began to wonder what was in dog biscuits we carried! And later L munched happily on oil seed rape seeds and flowers) We could sympathise with the Welsh/ French army of Owain Glyn Dwr who for 8 days in 1405 stood here and stared at the army of Henry IV one mile away, before hunger forced them to retreat without giving battle (their supply lines being cut)Chris Pearson30/04/2017
From north to the summit pyramid which looks like it could collapse at any moment. Paths through the wood but a few fences to get over.Herbert Anchovy15/09/2016
From North along FP and then track to west to the obelisk on the earth bank. Also went further west along bank, but no higher.PeterD17/04/2016

Winter walk from Hundred House Hotel down lane to 750654 and up clear ROW to hillfort. Highest point seems to be on the rampart about 20m west of obelisk. Sunny and cold.milimana13/12/2014
From Hotel carpark up onto Abberley Hill, down then up to impressive clock tower, along Walsgrove Hill 'ridge', past Lippetts farm & up onto Woodbury Hill 'fort', misty start cleared to be crisp sunny & dry.apricorum23/11/2013
From Pub carpark with Andy & Minnie, Up Abberly to trig, down & across to Abberly Hall Clock Tower, up Warsgrove Hill, dowm past very muddy Easthope farm then up Woodbury Hill-fort & stone pyramid ??top, cold & frosty start, then warming with some sunshine.leeoohmaknee23/11/2013
Parked easily at the T junction to the NE. Path then track. With there being ramparts it is tricky to work out the natural top but the pyramid will do. Pleasant walk.destaylor01/11/2013

Parked at the Hundreds House Hotel and did a round of Woodbury Hill and Abberley Hill in the snow.rhalstead24/03/2013
From road and paths to the south in considerable snow and failing light. Reached what I thought was the top but the actual top was down a dip and up again. Glad there was a definite cairn to look for.clivevilla22/01/2013
Approached via a footpath from the south. Some of the 'stiles' looked suspiciously like cross country horse fences. The ancient summit is just a few yards off a major path.JohnStoneham26/08/2012
Walked up many years ago, good views, ancient earthworks.Taz3801/01/2000
