Solo from car park just west of bridge on A830. Walked in along track to just over the bridge at NM947837 and then headed straight up towards the bealach between Beinn an Tuim and Meall an Uillt Chaoil - ascended the latter then followed the ridge over Stob Coire nan Cearc and over to the corbett summit. Descended via Streap Comlaidh and then S and SE off that back down to the track back out. Sunny on the walk in/out but claggy up on the ridge. Total time 5h 50min. | mproudfoot | 25/02/2023 |
From free CP to south. Track OK for biking - a few short rougher sections. However, doubt one could get a bike (even upended on its back wheel) through the kissing gate at NM 9314 7995 (there is room to park here though). | carole engel | 11/08/2022 |
Clockwise Streap horseshoe from Craigag | davidpettit84 | 29/05/2022 |
From Stob Coire nan Cearc along superb narrowing but easy ridge to the classic summit with cairn and HP at outcrop. Swirling cloud; a superb place to be even though a repeat ascent. Onto Streap Comlaidh via grass and rock ridge and col. Walk not scramble. | Denise | 18/09/2021 |
For Streap horseshoe up Gleann Dubh Lighe, leaving forest, a sea of bracken (it was August) to the right precluded the SMC Corbetts book route skirting round to col, forcing decision to include Beinn an Tuim. Go left briefly and then up ridge. Kept to this ridge, keeping left of stream to end of corrie then bear right to S top of Beinn an Tuim. Then a straightforward (navigationally) ridge walk, albeit with a lot of ups and downs as you go over a sub-Marilyn, Hump and sub-Hump on the route. | henryfm | 03/08/2021 |
From Glenfinnan, straight from the hotel. Lovely walk along the glen, relentless climb to the ridge, but the ridge was straightforward. Beautiful day, not a breath of wind. | douglas_easton | 23/09/2020 |
From the A830 up the glen. Direct approach up Allt Coire Chuirn, then due north straight up, emerging on the summit ridge a few metres east of the summit. Steep but no problems. Cloud bubbling around the summit cleared two minutes after I arrived. | Owen B | 16/08/2020 |
From the walk from Loch Arkaig looks a far better peak than the W munro Sgurr Thuilm. Stunning view, stayed up here a good while as view excellent. Lovely corbett. Company: Solo | iandesbottes | 12/04/2019 |
With MKG and ProfRob from bothy. Clear, with extensive views and some weak sunshine, but plenty of cloud higher up. No pics as phone smashed. | Rounsfell | 09/01/2019 |

With Tony, Sophie, Nic, Graham and Chris. From Gleann Dubh Lighe-Stob Coire nan Ceare-Streap-Streap Conhlaidh-Dubh Lighe in snow - fab views! | zoob | 11/04/2018 |
Climbed with Richard starting late around 11:30am. Wet day with poor visibility. Long day also taking in Streap then Braigh nan Uamhachan on unforgiving terrain. Arrived back around 10pm then back to Ft will for an Indian! | amcculloch | 29/05/2017 |
52nd – With Allan. From car park on A830, follow track along stream up Gleann Dubh Lighe. Out of wood head out West to Beinn an Tuim, follow high ground to summit over several tops. From summit to Streap Comhlaidh, then head towards Lochan a Chomhlain and pick way up to col before second Corbett. After summit follow ridge South and then head back to wood. Warm and very wet. Challenging rough ground and particularly steep ascent to second Corbett (these are no 'mini-Munros'). | RGibbs | 29/05/2017 |
An excellent anti-clockwise round of the horseshoe from Gleann Dubhe Lighe including the two Corbetts, 5 Corbett tops and 2 Graham tops. Route finding easy this way round though adaunting slog for the ascent back up to Streap Comhlaidh from the lochan. Streap really is a fine mountain | dickscroop | 01/06/2016 |

Having run into stalking issues trying this hill by its standard approach in 2011 along Gleann Dubh Lighe, Shaky & I played it safe & approached it from Corryhully calling in at the bothy on the way. Countryfile were out filming for one of their spinoff programs but didn't seem too interested in a chat. From Corryhully slogged due E following the burn up to the shoulder to the N of Beinn an Tuim & then on along the ridge to the summit. Back by the same route. Not the most satisfying way of doing this superb hill. | NotReallyABagger | 08/09/2014 |

A memorable day, partly because of the bracken and not taking the best route. Despite that it was a great hill to do. | duchally | 15/08/2014 |
hard finding the recommended route to corrie. rough ground, but a clear sunny day | oatcake | 31/05/2014 |
Streap has been described as a good introduction to Scottish narrow ridge walking. Maybe, but only after a long walk! There are less remote opportunities in the Mamores. The Dubh Lighe circuit was great though, I had it to myself and the wildlife- golden eagle, a pearl bordered frittilary and 100s of speckled yellow moths. A 'short cut' out of a forest ride on the W side of the glen probably added 20 mins but gave the best lepidoptera. | pwheeler | 19/05/2014 |

cycled to beyond bothy onto ridge deep snow to summit. | robertphillips | 12/03/2013 |
W Jenx, from wild camp by Lochan A Chomha'lain GR965872. In brilliant morning sun, up ridge to Comhlaidh top, then in breathtaking weather onto top of Streap proper. Down S ridge to Stob Coire nan Clearc before. Return to sacs and brew. Walk out to Strathan and end of fine 4 Corbett trip. | nordicstar | 07/06/2012 |
Cycled to NM94364 81726. L track to gate for Beinn Tuim. Straight up and along ridge bagging all tops. Streap itself is great - narrow ridge in places, with an awkward section in strong winds? First day for weeks, no rain or wind. Bothy is burnt ruin. | Martin R | 13/03/2012 |

MC JC. Climbed from Glenfinnan. Wettish winter's day made for hard work. Excellent hill 3h 40 round trip. Snow on top with verglas underneath. Excellent snow arête near the summit. Returned back over Stob Coire nan Cearc to watch a fantastic sunset. Reached the track in dark and got a lift back down with an estate worker who was setting up a celidh in Corryhully bothy.
