Walked up before breakfast on a good track. High point in long grass behind bench. No access problems. Solo. After breakfast I visited the alternative high point (Le Rond But)with George & Alan. There is a OS-style concrete trig pillar there but no evidence of ever having a serial number plate. | Dangerous Dave | 14/09/2023 |
Arrived at the access path at the same time as Eric and Anne, so we all summitted together. They went on to the other top with the trig, and later in the day I zipped up on my hired ebike just to be sure. | NormanW | 14/09/2023 |

With RHW and Dugswell2. A fine early morning traipse round the E end of the airfield after a night bivvi-ing under the stars at Clonque Bay. No fencing, but footpath closed to public. This, the conventional HP, at N49.7083, W2.21054. Also investigated anothe HP 900m ENE at Le Rond But where we found a pristine Hotine trig pillar, sans FB, and nearby a 1976 Defence Mapping Agency survey plate on top of a bunker. The pillar was sited just off the bunker at N49.71036, W2.19806. | jonglew | 08/07/2017 |
Bagged by mountain bike early morning plus alternative high point with hotine trig point. | Dugswell2 | 08/07/2017 |
Early morning, W summit (30 U 556919 5506497) from NE via Forbidden track, overlooking airport in farmland outside fence. E summit has an OS style trig pillar (30 U 557817 5506734) and is about as high as W summit, sighting both ways by hand level. Previous evening climbed a non tidal stack N side of Trois Vaux Bay with JonG, steep scramble down and steeper up on OK rock a little loose, lovely summit arete, great situation. As per Richard's account. Moored in Braye Harbour. Walked to centre of island where map shows land above 290 feet contour, much of which is actually within the runway perimeter and disturbed to build runway. We walked around extensively and decided the HP was c 400m S o Terminal building up a field track past goats. There is a bench and a wall and it feels high ( which Abney confirmed). Lovely island with various stacks to SW which are almost certainly also tumps but currently only visited by gulls. | Denise | 30/06/2017 |
From cross roads on SW edge of St Anne take road S then after a few metres the track on RHS with concrete wheel surface and dirt centre. Past water works and pens with goats to an old wall and memorial seat close to airport perimeter fence. High point is a raised area of ground lush with grass and clover 25m WSW of end of wall. N49.70835deg, W002.21048deg. 92m WGS84. Point on track 600m to ENE may be higher N49.71021deg, W002.20254deg. 89m WGS84 | RichardM | 30/06/2017 |
