Whilst returning for OS Block which I failed to find.Dusty08/10/2022
On a grey winter solstice walk from Penhow, via Carrow Hill and Llanmelin hillforts. Climbed Gray Hill from the road end at Ysgubor Kemeys, then up the slopes. A lot of the woodland from my previous visits has been felled. The summit cairn is easier to see in the winter, and at least no fires this time. Dropped down the steep western slopes and headed to Parc Seymour to get the bus.thesweetcheat21/12/2021

From Foresters Picnic area, only 1m round trip max, steepish climb, easy path to follow, done on first sunny day after the downpours of July into August.dicky06/08/2013
Large car park to NW. Path all the way. Woodland Trust and Common Land.destaylor12/04/2013
The footpath up the hill was quite steep and slippy after heavy rain. The hill has a fine ridge to walk with views of the channel from the stone circle and views of wentwood from the summit.hodder23/11/2012
Second visit, this time with G/F, up from Gaer Llwyd burial chamber via Wentwood. Someone has lit a fire on the bronze age summit cairn - idiots.thesweetcheat09/06/2012
Did this the first time as a short circular walk from Forester's Oaks carpark. Again on 7/7/2013 as part of a longer walk through Wentwood with Tiger Bay Ramblers. Same start point, made our way across the wood to the Castrogi Brook and then back up through Cuhere Wood.islamidget21/01/2012
From the car park on Usk Road to the summitMariana Trench04/03/2011
Came up from Wentwood, mainly to see the stone circle down the hill. The highest point is a reduced bronze age cairn, being steadily damaged by visitors.thesweetcheat22/05/2009
