1/2 Parked to side at the double gated forestry entrance north of the bridleway over Millrigg Knott. If you walk far enough along this bridleway you can step over an iron fence on right (once it levels at top) and go up through a wall gap to summit. Then down to rejoin the same Bridleway to the East and walked down to climb Elfhowe Hill using field to NW of the Forestry as others have done. No need to climb again.nickywood107/07/2020

Final hill of 34C, final joint Synge and Tump. From Elf Howe, down to Low Elfhowe buildings through gates to West, then starrt of FP before continuing on track up hill. Gate ahead then one wall climb lead to final fields with another gate and top. Super views all round. Continued to North using Bagger route to descend BW to road and walk back to car parked just out of Staveley.nordicstar22/12/2018

2nd of 8 hills on a 10 mile linear walk with Carole Engel. From Halls Lane (SD 4735 9993, room for 1 car), to loop layby on A6 (NY 5475 0250). Nice rolling sheep pastures. Met the farmer - not too happy with us but came round after a chat. From Elfhowe Hill, on to Milrigg Knott.jonglew30/11/2017

Parking for a single car immediately north of the start of the bridleway through HP wood. Pass through 2 gates then two high deer gates. After this fourth gate carry on for 200m and look for a feint track through the heather heading off to the right. This leads to a gap in the wall closed by metal railings. Step over these and there is a better track all the way to the summit.moorsman22/09/2017

From the works. Surprised AW or Birkett didn't lay claim to this one. In dozens of trips up Kentmere I don't think I even noticed it; perhaps they didn't either. Easily accessible and great views. Nice one, Mr Synge.Wycombe Wanderer07/09/2016
