3rd hill of 12 on a 29.3km circuit from Greendale cottages, continuing from Seatallan heading North past Pots of Ashness then meandering through a few tarns to arrive at the nice outcrop. Continuing North steeply to Haycock... | Dazingdale | 17/03/2024 |
From Greendale, as a fell run: Middle Fell, skirted to the N of Seatallan (boggy), Haycock, Seatallan, Buckbarrow. Some lovely running, hardly saw a soul and the weather stayed good. 15km, 2h 45 | Rockdoctor | 06/05/2023 |

2 of 6 Mopped this up as didn’t see it as an option from another planned walk up haycock. Skirted round the bottom of seatallan from middle fell | The-Z-Man | 17/08/2022 |
From overnight at the Wasdale Head Inn back to Ennerdale via Illgill Head, Whin Rigg, Glade How, Seatallan, High Pikehow, Haycock, Tewit How and Lingmell. 10hr solo. Perfectly clear blue skies. | Fionalevey | 06/03/2022 |
From Seatallen traversing under Haycock (Adam went over Haycock) Sunny. | alwaysinshorts | 15/09/2020 |
From Greendale (no Postman Pat seen) up the good path to Middle Fell. Witnessed the end of summer sheep round up whilst walking over to High Pikehow. Once sheep cleared we went up the NE flank of Seatallan then took in the interesting summits of Glade How and Buckbarrow. A good path through the bracken got us back to Greendale Gill and a much needed dip on a very hot day. | summitter | 14/09/2020 |

Up Nether Beck and Lad Crag Beck to my final Synge. I agree with Crib Goch this is a pointless top but it does typify everything about Synges. A big Shout Out to Tim Synge who has introduced so many of us to obscure places in the Lake District. | DC11main | 16/09/2019 |
From layby by private road to Windsor Farm (Harrow Head) Middle Fell, High Pikehow (this is no more than a rocky bump of no significance, so don't bother unless you are in the vicinity anyway) Seatallan, Glade How, Buckbarrow. | ijpowell | 23/05/2019 |
My penultimate Synge - glad I didn't leave this one till last, it really is a complete waste of time and effort! There are two rocky prominences of similar height c140 metres apart. My GPS reading NY 14398 09955 is closest to Tim Synge's 144099, which corresponds to the OS spot height of 574m. Route was via Nether Beck, before taking off steeply left beyond Waver Beck and then across rough ground to summit. Afterwards, re-visited some proper tops - Haycock, Scoat Fell and Red Pike. | Crib Goch | 19/05/2019 |
From Greendale: Middle Fell, Gowder Crag, Haycock, Little Gowder Crag, Caw Fell, High Pike How,Seatallan, Cat Bields, Glade How, Buckbarrow, Broad Crag. Cold bank holiday Monday. | Lazylizzie | 06/05/2019 |
Parked at bottom of Nether Beck under Middle Fell, walked up the half decent path all way to Pots of Ashness. Skirted this wet ground to NE and then the Joss Naylor trail to break off for my penultimate Synge, High Pikehow. For good measure re-bagged Haycock, Little Haycock then back past Pikehow to Seatallan on the JNT then Middle Fell. Descended direct through Iron Crag to path then car. | nordicstar | 27/02/2019 |
An extra spur on a round walk of Buckbarrow, Glade How Seatallan and Middle Fell. Very good and fairly direct path down from Seatallan summit with only a bit of mud at dip. Not a very impressive top, but lovely, remote and quiet top and unsurprisingly non one else here. | Hillsidenick | 26/02/2019 |

Up Nether Beck then Lad Crag Beck with DW taking in High Pikehow, Caw, Little Gowder, Scoat Fell, Steeple and Red Pike Down via Dore Head and Over Beck. Weather OK to beging, but hot and windless for the second half of the day. 11 days of dry weather made this walk, more pleasant than it could have been. | nukeboy1 | 21/05/2018 |
From Greendale. Middle Fell, Seatallan, High Pikehow, Haycock, Little Gowder Crag, Caw Fell and Iron Crag. 6 and a half hours. A long way back cross country from Iron Crag but a great day. | clivevilla | 13/04/2018 |
