19.08...tough rocky little mountain from valley to NW. Complex summit terrain. Wouldn't like to have been here in mist. Thought North West top seemed highest. Fortunately able to log on and find the south top was the summit. Late in the day, glad to find out when there. Three hours of careful navigating back west on the dark. Thank god it stayed dry so I could use my Tpuk phone map. If it'd rained i'd've been in trouble.vegibagger29/09/2021
I'd got beaten off this hill after S. Eireagoraidh by a thunderstorm and torrential rain. Every cloud has a silver lining: the walk from Bracorina is a gem. Over the bridge then recross the river to get to the hillside behind the house. Follow the fence up the hill, step over to follow the Allt Beag, then up the hillside towards the prominent rocky top at the E end of the summit plateau. Cross W below this to a grassy area, then up an obvious shallow gully to the plateau. Cross the E end of the lochan, then zig below the rocky summit bump and zag to the top. The whole walk is on dry, easy, smooth ground, short grass and heather, well chewed by sheep, and the views are good. Bliss. Sadly, a lot of the hill has been burnt recently.Gill06/05/2021
After Carn a Gobhair, from E end of Loch Eireagoraidh, up shallowest angle over slimey grass and heather to ridge, then WSW to top - upper slopes not as craggy as OS 50K depicts. Down same way and along S shore of loch - no path, pick any line, it's all equally horrid and slip-slidy slimey. Crossing the outflow made sure my boots were full to brim. Could almost have water-skied down the TLV track. Torrential rain and hail stones - mid-June - what happened to Spring 2019?Isbjorn17/06/2019

From Bracorina, ok parking beside pier. Bit wet and boggy. Cold, sharp wind and sunny.iangalbraith25/11/2018
A round of Carn a' Ghobhair and Sgurr an Eilein Ghiubhais then this one. From Mallaig Railway Station. 20.6kNormanW19/05/2018
From Carn a’ Ghobhair (Sgurr Eireagoraidh) east end of Loch Eireagoraidh to shoulder then onto knarly rocky summit area. Three cairns with dips over 150m area, seemingly getting higher more south you go. Southern one has a small northerly Crag above a Lochan. Fine views down Loch Morar and to the islands further west in sunshine.N.Morters30/04/2018

round of carn a ghobhair, squrr bhuidhe, cruach bhuidhe, cruach clachan, beinn nan caorach, from glasnacardoch driving wind/snow showers and deep snow on the ground made it a hard day.robertphillips29/12/2017
Staying at Fort William. Weather forecast not so good – thought there might be better weather to the west so drove to Loch Morar. Solo. After ascending Torr na Ba went to end of road at Bracorina and parked there. Walked up path that goes to Stoul. At NM733928 headed NNW. I could see ahead the prominent top where the highest point of Sgùrr Bhuidhe lies. It seemed impregnable with its vertical southern cliff. Got to the minor top lying at 726944 from where it didn’t seem to be quite so impregnable. That is indeed the case and the highest point is easily gained on the NW side. Took in Cruach a' Mhadhaidh-ruadh on the descent. Only a few drops of rain and good visibility.pwbellarby27/08/2017
Per nordicstar. Don't forget the GPS, whatever the weather.Topographer5701/05/2017
From the lower Glasnacardoch path. The upper track is wet and boggy. Fillowed the road then good track to Loch an Nostarie. Good line thereafter following old water pipe coming down from Loch Eiragoraidh. Indistinct in just one place. Deer fence with a dodgy stile them path continues to upper lochan. Steep turn to left to climb Carn an Ghobhair. Steep slopes but grassy rakes to obvious summit. Down and around east end of Eiraghoraidh before direct line up Sgurr Bhuidhe. Complex top, route finding in mist without GPS would be tricky, several cairned tops. Down the main drainage line to North to Loch and back same way in just under 5 hrs. Good walk.nordicstar31/08/2016
A good little mountain circuit. Interesting terrain. The top of this one is out beyond a very small lochan.jenx31/08/2016

Started from Glasnacardoch car parking area, finished at Mallaig town car park and went via Carn a'Ghobhair and Sgurr Bhuidhe. Route and write-up at: http://gayleybird.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/carn-aghobhair-and-sgurr-bhuidhe.htmlGayle07/05/2015
Parked at Bracorina at the end of the road. Used the Stoul path to gain some height before heading NW to the summit over easy ground.garyhoney18/08/2014

Had not really intended to do this, just added it on to Carn a'Ghobhair, bit late in day. Didn't see a right lot because of mist. Fun navigation.Martin R10/03/2012

From Ghobhair. Moved NE to see a way down to a wide bealach and to the Loch. Using backside where necessary, very slowly down over steep grass with hidden boulders under heather. To the left as gradient eased and to the path again gently around to the east end of the loch to see a possible way up on one side of a steep slope between streams. So it proved. Very faint deer paths uphill through heather to breast of hill at 14.15. Slopes eased and took bearing to highest point in confusing terrain. A large shepherd's cairn on one peak and a smaller cairn some way away, higher with the expected grid ref. Loch Morar to S. Direct line downhill was too steep, but contouring to the left found a less alarming route over 1 1/2 miles of rough stuff to cross a small dam to upward path at 15.45. and to car. 7 hrs.arranc27/05/2010
