2/2 - the 4km from Sgurr Nan Ceathramhnan to summit involves a lot of descend/re-accent - took much longer than I expected. And had to climb back up again on return as cutting the corner didn't look sensible in low cloud.....wychwood18/09/2022

An Socach, Mullach nan Dheiragain and Sgùrr nan Ceathreamhnan solo from Glen Affric in a day. Was originally planning to do these as a 2-day trip with a stay at Altbeithe, but due to the Covid closure, I decided to try it as a single day outing. Biked in from Glen Affric ~4am in pitch black. Track was rideable for the first 4.5 miles but after Athnamulloch, it was mostly unrideable with large boulder-covered sections of track, and frequent flooded sections. Arrived at Althbeithe ~6:30am and locked the bike. Walked the munros anti-clockwise - starting with An Sochach, ending with Sgùrr nan Ceathreamhnan before descending back down to Altbeithe and then the long bike ride back out. A slog of a hill. Long undulating walk out and back. Did it last as drop down and out was easier. Views were great 2day. Stunning part of the world😀😀 Tough cycle back.akmilne31/07/2020

Accessed from the Glen Affric Youth Hostel, hiked in from Glen Affric Car Park with on Friday 6th September with Alex McBride. On Saturday 7th September, Alex and I bagged the three Munros to the north of the Hostel, Mullach na Dheiragain (982m), Sgurr nan Ceathramhnan (1151m) and An Socach (921m). It was sunny all day with only a few clouds visible. The views were great, particular of Ben Nevis to the south, Torridon to the north, the Cullin Ridge and Skye Bridge to the west. 11:10 hours all in.chillyman807/09/2019
With Rob H we had stayed at Alt Beithe SYHA. We set off up the hill at the back of the youth hostel in gathering mist and scattered showers. Our intent was to climb Sgurr Nan Chreathamhnan and Mullach na Dhearagain. We climbed An Socach last from the col having traversed the valley to cut off the repeated traverse Sgurr Nan Chreathamhnan. A 12 mile day. Wet conditions cool misty in patches.david.walker4020/05/2019

Mullach na Dheiragain/Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan/An Socach from Strawberry Cottage. With Gavid Main.MorecambeMonkey13/05/2017
Climbed solo. Ascended stalkers path from Glen Affric YHA to Bealach Coire na Cloiche. Took YHA wardens advice by ascending a little up ridge to west to a cairn before descending a steep grassy rake and traversing steep ground into boggy Coire nan Dearcag. Easy ascent to Bealach nan Daoine on NW side. Turned right onto ridge crossing the fine Munro Top of Carn na Con Dhu, with many interesting rocky knolls. After a short steep descent north to the bealach, an easy grassy ascent to the very remote munro of Mullach na Dheiragain (aka Jerry-can!). Returned to YHA by same route - would be hard navigation in mist! Weather dry, bit windy, starting bright with high cloud, but greying over in afternoon threatening rain. Views superb though, especially of nearby giant munro of Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan. A truly wild primeval landscape.jamessteel10023/08/2016

Walked in from Cluanie Inn along the horrendous path to Alltbeithe hostel. Most of the high tops were topped with cloud. Climbe up the good path from the hostel to the Bealach below An Socach. Gerry was clear the route to the Bealach was obvious. Following the warden's advice I descended by the big rock with the red lichen on which she placed stones cut across to a huge slab staying right of the Lochan. Beyond this slab I head to a second slab with a small cairn on top and up to the lowest point and onto the ridge. Easy ascent to this point. From here it was very straightforward climb to the top Carn na Con Dhu. A small Boulder hop and another long stretch to the summit. It's a long way out and back to Bealach na Doine. Back at the Bealach I met the man IMet from the start who was on his 4th round with 7 to go and was doing tops on this round. As the sun had broken through I continued up Kerry ( Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan).munromurph17/08/2015

2nd of 3, solo. Back to collect pack and have some lunch before dropping down to skirt across to belach at 065235. It's a long walk out and there's a few ups and downs so pack was dumped. Weather just great (total contrast to yesterday) and views epic!bowzi25/08/2013

274th - with Allan - from Glen Affric YH, ascended to An Socach, traverse across for Mullach na Dheiragain, and then Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan. Fierce winds, spin drift, one hairy descent on the traverse and knee deep powder snow on final ascent in a testing 10.75 hr day.RGibbs04/05/2013

On the same day cycled from Craig at far as possible then walked to claim Maoile Lunndaidh, then again used the bike for as far as possible for this munro. To state I was tired was an understatement, but after slowly getting to this peak I was rewarded by some superb views. Glorious. Company: Soloiandesbottes11/05/2012
