With Robin Howie and Rhona Fraser. Beinn Fhionnlaidh, Carn Eige, Tom a' Choinich and Toll Creagach. Robin had arranged for a boat from the dam at the end of Loch Mullardoch. We wanted to include the Corbett top of Frith an Achaidh Mhoir so we were landed where a stalkers' path comes down to the water. It had stopped raining by now although the tops were still mist enshrouded. Not far from the water's edge we came to a new bothy. This was clearly used by stalking parties. We followed the stalkers' path to the summit of Frith an Achaidh Mhoir. The path continues beyond the end shown on the OS 1:50,000 map, but does not continue beyond the summit. The path provides an easy means of ascent. It was very misty. | pwbellarby | 09/07/2008 |
