Solo. From Chisholm Bridge car park. There is now a signposted cut through NW to the estate track and a handy small cairn on the right to guide you to a small path up to the summit. Pleasant, if very short walk but fantastic views of snow capped peaks in late October.DampandDusty22/10/2023
As others from Chisholme Bridge CPAndrew Simmons21/07/2023
From parking at Chisholme Bridge. Took the good path signposted for the hill to its high point, then a short walk to the open hillside, eventually reaching a grassy path at about the 400m contour going virtually all the way to the attractively situated summit. Retraced steps.Owen B23/06/2023

Circular route, with everyone on the NUFWAS Glen Affric trip.Grinner03/06/2022
The weather gods didn’t get the memo when I planned a caravan trip to Dingwall…….but I could a wee break in the wind and rain today. So I nipped up Beinn a’ Mheadhoin (613m), a Graham in Glen Affric, only took about 2:30hrs parking at Chisholme Bridge. Tad windy on top, so I’m happy I didn’t try for a bigger hill and quite cloudy to the west which reduced the views of those larger hills.chillyman820/10/2021
From Chisholme Bridge CP by track to the gate, then up NW slopes to the summit - a lovely viewing platform for Glen Affric -, then back along the remnants of the old path.Nick Down130/08/2021

From the walkers car park. Great views from the summit before another shower after a day of heavy rain. 1 hour 40 minute solo return.bolton31/08/2019
A very good evening stroll from the ridiculous new walkers car park. Why destroy the old CP and build a new one and a new path? Have these people not heard of GHG emissions from construction? Ah well, the new path is quite nice. Once out of the forest a cairn marks the start of an ATV track and well used path, so it's an easy walk. The path peters out below the summit climb. Lovely small plateau with various cairns and rocky tops needing visiting for the wonderful views.Gill07/06/2019
From car park, nice new path through trees. High cloud, mild and calm. Unsurpassed views again.iangalbraith04/06/2019

Car park near Abhainn Gleann nam Fiadh bridge will be reinstated by July but it was already July so had to use old quarry car park half km west. Track still useable but you might have to wait to waved thro if machinery in use. Up track just past the edge of the forest there’s a small cairn & a faint track. Went down east ridge & thro horrendous bracken to get to road.rogreeves06/07/2018
From Chisholme Bridge. Glen Affric Duathlon in progress making parking difficult.summitsup12/05/2018
Followed the track up the side of the plantation to the corner then headed of up the hill following a faint path to the summit.Nozzer20/04/2018

With family. From hydro track (what a mess!) and then ATV/path shortly after leaving the main plantation. Good viewpoint.benalder28414/04/2018
From hydro track after Tom a'Choinich and Toll Creagach. Nice top, but hard work after the two Munros - the summit was further away than I thought .....Crib Goch19/10/2016
Solo. From car park at NH215242 up the track constructed for the hydro-electric scheme. A little short of the fence that surrounds an area where trees are regenerating struck up the hillside easily to the summit area. There are two parallel ridges with the cairn and highest point being on the southernmost ridge. The nicely constructed cairn is clearly not the highest point. The current entry in DBIH says the highest point is rock 35m E of the cairn. However, the rock is very close to being due N of the cairn. I took visual sightings of the small cairn 80m E and conclude that it is not the highest point. Continued to Am Meallan.pwbellarby03/09/2016
Added after the ascent of Doire Tana. Back east along the ridge and down through the trees to the car parkColin Crawford15/08/2016
Hydro works going on. The old path has become a butchered track, faint path still leads off after the trees.hils24/06/2016
Quick hike up the new hydro track with lots of work being done over18 months to put in a new mini hydro scheme.big Cairn not on the top Smaller cairn on an eastern top 80 metres from it but three stone on an impressive big Rocky embedded bit that seemed marginally the actual highest point at the northern apex of a triangle of these three points. Delightful long chat with an orange hard hatted young woman called Lucy doing a map survey of the culverts and silt traps put in to stop the out flows of water sending adult down into the loch. She is also a part time bar maid at Ross County football club.vegibagger30/05/2016
A very easy Graham. Good gradient and trail now most of the way.jenx22/03/2016
From good CP before bridge. munrobtrack to @300m then great ATV track to near summit, well used by look. Fine viewpoint. Up and down in hour and half, quickest if 3 today.nordicstar22/03/2016

Lovely walk up from the Loch in Glen Afric - beside plantation at first.nickywood112/06/2015
Initially easy-going as Munroists had done the snow trailbreaking. Then it was down to me once I left the path from the forest edge.Martin R24/01/2015
Stayed on the track until I got sight of the hill. Then across the moor. Summit has two parallel ridges. Now onto the Munros.Play2End04/05/2014

(cont fr Toll Creagach). Back down glen & up Beinn a'Mheadoin. Desc almost direct to starting point, since most of trees had been felled. Walked to road end (17:40) where DR had left car to do 2 Corbetts S of L Affric. Some rain, little sun, good views. dbb14/10/2007
