Walked in from close to Cluanie Inn. Opted to walk past the col before heading East up steep mountainside. Probably a mistake. Steep pathless broken ground for 700m ascent. Headed for Glen Affric hostel. Aimed for path at foot of NE ridge. Hard to find any path on the ground. The 2 river crossings both slow moving but hip deep water. Track to hostel then easy. Cloud down and finished well after dark.wychwood17/09/2022

Last of days 4 summits after A' Chioch, Stob Coire na Craileig and Mullach Fraoch-choire. Looked to be quite a spikey ridge through the mist from descent down Stob Coire na Cralaig and whilst some care is required most of the exposure and difficult scrambling can be avoided to the right. Instead of returning via ascent route and reclimbing of A'Chralaig took the path marked by a cairn at the col with Stob Coire na Cralaig. Slightly further option down Coire Odhar to main path and long walk out down An Caorann Mòr followed by a 1km walk SE along the A87, back to the van.mntainman29/08/2021

Climbed solo. Started from A87 Loch Cluanie at start of path to Glen Affric. Left path straight away heading up steep slopes by a stream to gain S ridge of A' Chraileag at 750m (actually a small path all the way). Continue to A' Chraileag (fine cairn), Stob Coire na Chraileag, Mullach Fraoch-choire. Pinnacles on Na Geurdain ridge look scary from a distance but are easily avoided on skirting paths (first east, then west of pinnacles). Returned to col at 949m. Took zig-zag path into Coire Odhar. Path soon disappears. Traverse slopes to reach the Glen Affric path (lots of fresh water springs on way!). Return on path to A87 (feels long!). Fine sunny day, and dry underfoot. Gales were forecast but didn't come. A lovely ridge walk, comparable with others nearby.jamessteel10026/07/2018

From A87 at end of An Caorann Mor, track directly up A' Chraileag to SE end of ridge, along ridge to summit and on to Stob Coire na Craileig and Mullach Fraoch-choire, descending by track from corrie rim into Coire Odhar, then back along tracks in An Caorann Morkdbennett19/06/2018

With Penda. From car park E of Cluanie Inn. Over A'Chralaigh on way out. Hot in wind shadow, very cold in direct wind. Went around the pinnacles but still found them scary! Long, weary boggy walk down valley leading to Glen Affric, lots of deer about (counted 56 but there were more). 11.5 miles, 7.5 hours.beorwulf05/05/2017

Quite a hairy and narrow path between the pinnicles and towers on the ridge leading to the top. Not a scramble, more like a clamber, but some parts are inches away from a big drop. Fell into a bog on long journey back!Jhimmy16/07/2012

Tried to get to this peak before in winter but failed 50 metres as snow too dangerous for me. This time enjoyed the ridge in and enjoyed the peak. I would do this one again. Went back via A'Chralaig to see that cairn again. Company: Soloiandesbottes04/06/2012
Solo, 2nd of 2. Easy enough walk over from A'Chralaig and some good scrambling on way to summit. Back to belach to pickup back and then follow a faint path down before a boggy walkout via an caorann mor.bowzi01/06/2012

With Smithy on an overcast day from the A87. Mist descended early on & the Cluanie curtain descended later on for a thorough soaking. More or less straight up A'Chralaig which was brutal but then a good ridge walk even with no view as far as Mullach Fraoch-choire. Back S to the intermediate top & worked our way down W to the track in the glen below for a sodden trudge back to the car.NotReallyABagger04/06/2002

Classic high Kintail ridge from A' Chraileag. The pinnacled section is of no concern as it is so easily bypassed. We descended into An Caorainn Mor to return to the A87 near Cluanie. Magnificent views near and afar (inc Ben Nevis). Sunburn the biggest risk, Ben Nevis in view. With Petepwheeler26/05/2001

With a friend. We climbed the S, becoming SE ridge of A’ Chralaig to reach the summit. Continued over Stob Coire na Cralaig to Mullach Fraoc-choire. We followed the ridge to the latter which was very interesting in the conditions. There was a lot of snow and some narrow points on the ridge. Not wishing to traverse the ridge again we went down the north west ridge a little way before descending snow slopes to Coire Odhar. We tried to find the path from Glen Affric but initially it was impossible to find the path because of the snow. The snow was very soft and the ground sodden so making the going slow. It was a beautiful day.pwbellarby10/04/1994

from Loch Cluanie. On road for 2 1/2 miles up An Caorann Mor. At high point bore right across steepening grass and several streams in gorges. By ravine into mist. Scary 20 minutes straight up over moss covered stones to ridge with a WDOP going on knife edge. Turned left and to top at 14.05. My 200th Munro. No view. to S top.arranc03/06/1987
