Glad to get to this summit. Hot weather. Decided to head back via Beinn Eich and back to Shegarton Cottages. Rather than going back via the hills. Long food break and water break. Company: Soloiandesbottes02/09/2023

Parked on the verge east of Doune, at a spot not marked Passing Place. Over the bridge and through Doune farm, then straight up the ATV track and over the east top.Owen B22/04/2023
11.4 mile circular from Glen Douglas. We headed across the bridge to Doune Farm and as others mentioned we used the field gates to the south to avoid the farmyard itself. A long and relentless pull follows up to Doune Hill East Top, then another drop and steep little pull up to Doune Hill. From here we followed the grassy trail along the easy ridge to Beinn Lochain and Beinn Eich descending to Edentaggart farm using the avoiding footpath, then we followed the very wet track into Glen Mollochan. We lost the track for a while in a boggy area but the going wasn't too bad until we re-joined the wet track, back around Doune Farm to the car. 1160m ascent. Great grassy ridges with amazing views. Not a cloud in the sky over the Highlands today and we could see for miles. Very windy though. This was the main reason we were not doing a Munro today. Saw no other walkers.DanTrig20/04/2023

Revisit. A simple walk up from Doune Hill E. Top. With Gavin & Steve.Dangerous Dave19/03/2022
A nasty early start from the Invergroin CP for a round of 4 Luss Grahams from Doune. Decent ATV track up the glen and over the river to get through tussocks and onto the W ridge of Mid Hill easy enough to top. Down good but steep, then boggy path to road and detour around Edentaggart, over Beinn Eich, traverse to Cruach an t-Sithein, then back to Doune Hill, Doune Hill E top, then the steep and sh1tey ATV track back to Doune.Gill16/03/2022

From the hillwalkers' CP in Glen Douglas, taking the ATV track up Doune Hill East, crossing the steep bealach to Doune Hill and going over Beinn Lochain to the shapely but inconsiderately located Cruach an t-Sidhein, before redescending and traversing to the dip in the ridge before Beinn Eich. From there I returned over Beinn Lochain, Doune Hill and Doune Hill East, passing just below the summits of the first two and following a sheep trod that contours around Doune Hill East before rejoining the ATV track and is clearly visible on descent from Doune Hill, starting from the outflow of the lochan in the bealach.Nick Down117/04/2021

Parked at Luss. Intended to cycle up glen but bike broke, so walked, starting 9:05. Good path over Beinn Dubh to Mid Hill (11:15). Then trackless descent of W ridge before long climb up to Doune Hill. Made for col, missing NE top, then up to summit (13:05). Continued to Cruach an t'Sidhean, contouring Beinn Lochain. Trackless again, steeply up fence to summit (14:20). Back to col, contoured S of B Lochain then up ridge to Beinn Eich (15:50). Followed path down ridge to Edentaggart and back to Luss (17:40). Dry, some sun, warm; wet underfoot initially after rain. Higher tops around under cloud, but good views. Good day.dbb14/09/2020
After the slog up Doune Hill East Top it looks like another slog up Doune Hill to the SW. Only a 79m descent to Bealach an Dúin but a whole 108m up the other side. Keep on a SW bearing avoiding the temptation to head right.mntainman02/08/2020
