With CB, Richard and Gillian.JDBowers07/06/2023
Parked at the main car park opposite the Ling Hut, alongside the resident reindeer. Path to Coire Mhic Mhearchair and the Triple Buttress. Steep ascent at the back of the coire but not as bad as feared - there is effectively a stone staircase up on the LHS of the final gully to the 868m col. From there Ruadh stac Mor, Coinneach Mhor (old and new) and Spidean. Descent off the ridge south of the trig point down a generally reasonable path apart from some steep scree/eroded sections. Another great day on Beinn Eighe with splendid views in all directions, finally completing the second munro after a gap of several decades. With Gillian, Cathy and Jim.richard6907/06/2023
From parking near Loch Bharranch. Up the path into clag. Above 800 metres superb inversion. Up to trig point and the summit of Spidean Coire nan Clach then out and back to 2 eastern tops. Very rough hills. Then headed west to Coinneach Mhor both tops. Then headed down to Sail Mhor. Got over halfway down realised this was a rock climb didn’t want to be unable to reverse route and hadn’t read guides so headed back up and then on to Ruadh-stac Mor and down the scree gully to Coire Mhic Fhearchair. Beautiful place did think about going up Sail Mhor from here. Felt tired so just headed out and back to the car. Will come back to do Sail Mhor. Time taken 10 hours 25 minutes for 15.05 miles and 5456 feet of ascent.isabelle04/06/2023
Route over Beinn Eighe, starting with a camp in Coire Mhic Fhearchair. First climbed Sail Mor, decided against tackling the Ugly Step so descended part way from bealach and joined main path to reach the other bealach and on to Coineach Mhor (old and new summits). Continued east on the ridge to climb Spidean Coire nan Clach and descent by standard route. Near perfect conditions.RobertP18/04/2023
Tidying up my Munro tops, they have moved this one from the summit further east since I did it way back. Up the Coire nan Laoigh path to th 972 summit then west along the ridge to Coinnich Mhor. Plenty of time so on way back diverted to Spidean Coire nan Clach 992m summit as an out and back.dickscroop12/09/2021
Path through Coie Dubh Mor to Coie Mhic Fhearchair. Round loch to th right and steep up to ridge beneath Sail Mhor. An impressive top with great views. The across to Coineach Mhor via the impressively rocky bad step buttress. Difficult to make out way up at first, but found steep grassy rake leading to fairly straight forward scramble. Short of time to visit Ruadh-Stac Mor. Back via loch to start point. With B,R and Brian.jenx22/06/2021

with Jamie and dog Ben-Ji. NW through valley to the S and steeply up the western end of Sail Mhor. Snowy higher up as we get to the gash into it's northern side. great view of tripple buttress. A very spectacular viewpoint altogether and absolutely ought to be a Munro summit. Along and past the bad step on to Coinneach Mhor and then eventually rather steeply down to early into the valley. We should've gone further east first.vegibagger09/04/2012

Solo on a clear & warm day. Walked around N side of hill via Coire Dubh Mor for the fantastic view of the triple buttress. Crossed outflow of Loch Coire Mhic Fhearchair, worked way along side of loch & ascended the eroded path to the bealach. (On another occasion in winter, thick ice covering the loch had broken up & a gale had blown it to the outflow where the jagged shards were crashing & clattering into each other.) Turned N for Ruadh-stac Mor, returned to the col & over tops to Sail Mhor. Then back along main ridge over Spidean Coire nan Clach as far as Sgurr Ban. Then found the eroded path back down to the glen & along the road to the start. (Again on 6/4/04 with Shaky, Smithy & TomP by similar route except ascended directly to Ruadh-stac Mor from side of loch & had to skip the tops & Spidean as a bright day suddenly gave way to a snow shower & then a thunderstorm crashed in from the W.)NotReallyABagger05/09/2000

Along the ridge from Sail Mhor.. a nice understatement. Given that it was key to the rest of Beinn Eighe, the 'Ugly Step' was the most committed scramble of the week and it took a bit of trial and error to find the best way. Lunch on the top of Coinneach Mhor in the sunshine. With Pete.pwheeler23/05/1992
