Meall a' Ghiubhais & Ruadh-stac Beag from the Beinn Eighe visitor centre, with John. Good going on the path up to the SE flanks of Meall a' Ghiubhais and then struck NW up to the summit. Stopped at the larger cairn (W top) and took some photos then we carefully headed W then S down to the Alt Toll a' Ghiubhais, crossed and then ascended SW up Ruadh-stac Beag SW on a shoulder ridge - with a steep rocky (slightly snow-covered) section on the final 100m of ascent. After a summit stop, descended down the screen slopes to the south and then headed NE to regain the same path back out. Tough day on some challenging terrain, but under blue skies with a slight breeze, conditions were perfect. Total time 7h 21min.mproudfoot15/04/2023
From free CP to NE (NH 0014 6504). Lovely walk up on mapped path to viewpoint. Easily over Meall a'Ghiubhais. South to Allt Toll a'Ghuibais, taking - grassy ramp (John Glew) - to ridge. Involved ever steepening grass and some minor scrambling - relieved to top it and would not descend this. Once on ridge, descended unstable boulder field on S-SW face (other walkers came down the SE face)carole engel11/09/2022
From visitor centre to E. Cloudy morning lifted as forecast and sunshine lasted until summit. Didn’t hang around as shower was approaching fast – turned out to be lighter than it looked. Some thunder very nearby on descent, and low cloud circulating, but again only light rain. Warm. Rounsfell07/09/2022
Up and back via pony track from Beinn Eighe visitors centre, Allt Toll a' Gniubhais, and ascending southern slope from col with Beinn Eigherjf3501/08/2022
Long walk in with Iain Price, horrendous gust whilst scrambling up the scree, took me 8.5 hrs, foot really sore.tallblond15/06/2022
A long walk in. Descent sunny weather. Four of us on the summit. Took a short cut across the moor back to the CPPlay2End07/06/2022
Solo, half-running w ankle strapped, d Kinlochewe (parking at NH01962) at 1:30pm, horrible midges as no wind, mild, overcast, tops just in mist (Slioch visible). Midges bad for 20 min and I couldn't go fast w ankle. Had to leave path to head SW by stream which was time-consuming, rough, moraine-y, then up SW ridge of this hill which was fine and quick, long way over rocky summit area to true top where some interesting views, very slowly back down unstable boulders (broke a pole and bashed a finger which bled), painstakingly back NE to path incl turning my ankle again, a bit, just before I rejoined the path, then walk/run down the long path to drive back to Gairloch.NorfolkPT2103/08/2021
After Meall a'Ghiubhaisduchally23/07/2021
Linear hike over RSB and SCC from Visitor Centre near Kinlochewe after leaving bicycle in Glen Torridon. Ascended and descended RSB by south ridge on steep and mobile scree.Topographer5722/07/2021
Took the alternative path from the car park further north up to the viewpoint and down to head of Pony Trail. I have done pony Trail before and it is a better option. Thern the usual route up to the ridge and the WSW boukder slope. A tough climb and easier if you find the right line which is a bit of pot luck really. Down by much the same route, I was planning on including Meall a Ghiubais but I had been slow and it was starting to rain so left it for another day. In the end rain did not come to much.dickscroop22/06/2021
Up the excellent Pony Path from the visitor centre to its end, then north easterly to Leathad Buidhe across strewn sandstone morraine. Passing the lovely nearby lochans we next headed westward up the steep path to Meall a'Ghiubhais ... quite an ask in surprisingly warm and windless conditions. Once summited, we bombed down the SE flank back to the top of the Pony path, then headed into Allt Loch an Tuill Bhain, a strangely dark chasm below the sharp sunlit peaks of Beinn Eighe towering above. A narrow path along the east bank allowed relatively easy access to the south side of Ruadh-stac Beag. Its a tough scramble up boulders and scree to the moon-like summit plateau, but well worth the effort. The panorama is truly spectacular, but with dusk arriving it was time to lock it in the memory bank and head back to the visitor centre. 6.5 hrs total. Great day in superb conditions and great company.summitter07/11/2020

Debs & Tali, circuit of the two CorbettsMountain Goat27/09/2019
Usual route from Beinn Eighe visitor centre. Carried on beyond the high point of the trail in the vain hope of finding a path up the valley east of the hill. Ended up on the hill side of the stream on poor ground. Quite enjoyed the bouldery scramble from the south of the hill. Sadly no views, the promised brightening up of the weather was about 3 hours late. Picked a better, higher line east of the stream on return, rejoined the trail at about the 380m contour.Owen B28/08/2019
Out & back from the Beinn Eighe visitor centre. On own.MorecambeMonkey26/06/2019
From the Beinn Eighe visitors' centre. Cracking scramble up the NE face, technical, and difficult in places, with several false trails and backtracking until bottom of a grassy ramp we had spotted earlier (starting at NG 9749 6160) was gained. Wet and windy for most of the walk although sheltered from the wind on the E side of the hill. Clouds cleared at the top for extensives views. Descended the NW side over steep scree and boulder fields. On to Meall a'Ghiubhais. With Steve Lewis.jonglew10/09/2018
Tough Corbett to bag. Story goes like...Lots of rocks, lost paths, boulders, long distances, scrambling, scree. Yep tough old Corbett this was. Enjoyed it though.Jhimmy07/06/2018

From visitor centre on track with Shaky & Smithy on a hot, sunny day. Weather didn't exacty make a tough, rocky ascent any easier, but what a hill! Followed track more or less to its end & then turned S to follow E bank of Allt Toll a'Ghiubhais under the E flank of the hill. Just before Loch Uaine turned to ascend steep, rocky & loose S ridge to flat summit. Returned by same route except took much higher line from col above burn heading NE over reasonable ground to meet outward track near fence line - a good option at least in descent which saved a good half hour.NotReallyABagger18/09/2015

Low cloud and wet. Climbed with Gary Bidwell. In some respects the bad weather was a blessing. If the weather had been better then Gary would have been persuading me to climb the Northern Pinnacles on Liathach. The cloud only cleared briefly on the way back from Meall a'Ghubhais which we climbed second - the easier of the two hills as basically a slog up a bolder field!langskill24/05/2009

With a friend. From the Visitor Centre NW of Kinlochewe, along the road to join the path that goes to a point between Ruadh-stac Beag and Meall a' Ghiubhais, thence to SE side of Ruadh-stac Beag following a path across scree with some scrambling to reach Ruadh-stac Beag.pwbellarby02/08/1987
A fantastic calm sunny evening at the end of a great day having climbed Ordinary Route on the Triple Buttress with Mick Guest. I led the whole way -6 or 7 pitches of mountaineering Diff which the guidebook describes rather vaguely as ' continue up an interesting and varied series of pitches to the top' Once up I went off to squeeze the most from this beautiful summer's evening to bag this remote Corbett by dropping down from Beinn Eighe summit (left sack at col) then after up and down the Corbett back up Beinn Eighe to be on top at 9.30pm -before a fast decent despite climbing gear to the road. Caught up Mick then back to hostel for 11pm - meal and bed.Chris Pearson26/05/1987
