Solo. Visited Castle and gardens. From CP SW 51664 30663. | masmith | 01/09/2023 |
Took the bus from the campsite to Marazion and walked across the causeway for the castle and garden circuits. Prebooking essential. Low cloud meant no views, even as far as the mainland. Walked back across the causeway and continued on the SWCP to Porthleven. Weather cleared up as day progressed. With Gillian | richard69 | 29/08/2023 |
Then Wishing Rock is apparently the highest point. It forms the lower part of the chapel wall at the GR given. You cannot really stand on it but the visible top of it is only about three feet above the level of the courtyard. | clivevilla | 11/07/2023 |

The rock by the chapel would be hard to stand on | climbingkershaw | 02/04/2022 |

Staying in the area and joined the family trip to the mount once I realised it was baggable. Highest natural rock appears to be next to the entrance to the chapel, about 3/4 of the way round the castle tour. | garyhoney | 24/10/2021 |

Really impressive historical site with lovely gardens. Waded back ( ankle deep) at LW. The natural HP is exposed natural rock on the left hand side by the entrance to the chapel ( entrance fee payable) known as the 'wishing stone.' In hindsight should have moored in the harbour ( dries) not paid our £2 for the ferry! | Denise | 14/07/2016 |
Sand, sea, sunshine and an island with a castle, could almost be on holiday! Highest exposed rock is the well touched Wishing Stone (where you can make a wish - usually of the romantic kind) beneath N wall of chapel. Boat over and paddle back. | RichardM | 14/07/2016 |
Church tower inside castle walls appears to be over natural highpoint. Natural rock exposed in N wall of church 2m W of NW corner of church tower with exposed stone directly under tower (same level) which may or may not be original summit levelled off. OS GR for bolt on tower probably best bet for summit location. Over by boat at 10, cuppa til castle opened at 1030, toured inside Castle then gardens then back over 1130ish when causeway clear (2hr30) before low tide) and a few hundred folk heading across. NT / NTS members free, boat £2 single. NB CASTLE CLOSED SATURDAYS. | RHW | 07/07/2016 |
Whilst on Holiday with H & H. Walked over, boat back. | David Evans | 05/05/2016 |
