I parked at a layby on the A832 just east of the Grudie hydro power plant, from where I cycled up to Fannich Lodge, roughly 7.5 mile cycle there and the same back, though most of the way back was downhill and the track was almost entirely surfaced. Locking up the bike at the gates to the lodge, I hiked up the stalkers path to Meall Gorm (949m) a Munro, followed by its’ South East Munro Top (922m), then a mild dip and re-climb to the Munro of An Coileachan (924m). The descent SW from An Coileachan via a slightly steep pathless hillside, was more tiring than the ascent. It serves me right for sleeping in the day before, but the weather wasn’t great, once above 800m there was the odd break, but the mist limited visibility to approx. 30m. I had intended on doing these hills as part of the Sgurr Mor 4 in August 2020, but I had to pale due to a lack of water and I’ve planned to bag these two several times from south, but always found an excuse not too.chillyman817/10/2021

A long day back up in the NW highlands with John and wee Islay hitting up the Eastern Fannichs - four munros over 16.5miles, and 1450m / 4750ft of ascent in just a smidge under 8 hours, followed by a 4.5hr drive home (with John handling the driving this time). The forecast was for clear visibility, but we ended up in the clouds for most of it, with strong winds resulting in -3C wind chill.. Winter is coming!mproudfoot29/08/2020

1st munro of day. Slept in campervan at Inverlael. Then drove to layby which gives easiest bike access to Fannich lodge. Climbed with Maggie and took zigzag route to west of MG then turned east to reach the summit. Great views and good weather.dave neilson18/10/2019
