From Shenavall - first summit on Fisherfield 6 - weather was kind - views are stunning all the way aroundwychwood22/05/2023
Solo round of six from wild camp near the Alder woods at around NH088788 - left the tent 5:30am straight into the most voracious cloud of midges I've ever encountered - headtorch on - fortunately the recent dry conditions had made the river easy to cross without taking boots off. Tough climb up the east side of Beinn a' Chlaidheimh, but above 500m, a light cool breeze kept the midges at bay (and me cool). That was definitely the toughest ascent of the day, but not the toughest part. The ascent up Sgurr Ban was fairly straight forward, the boulders were not terrible and the summit was soon reached (didn't even notice the shelter until I had passed it). At this point, the remaining summits were all covered in clag - but just as I descended to Cab Coire nan Clach bealach to head up the dusty path in the scree on Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair, the cloud cleared off. I bypassed Meall Garbh, and slowly headed up the grassy slops of Beinn Tarsuinn. Met a few other folk at the topmproudfoot04/09/2021
From Corrie Hallie: Did the Fisherfield 6 camping below the summit of Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair. 8 hrs one day, 10 hours the next. Absolutely stunning weather.jigglybones23/08/2021
From Corrie Hallie. In and out on the day to get the Corbett. Sore feet and tender knees after a week's bagging, but excellent weather, dry ground, long days so no excuse not to really. River crossing was easy, then took a fairly northerly line up Creag Ghlas. Found the path onto the north end of the ridge at about 600m avoiding difficulties, steep though. Awesome views. Lingered at the summit, last Corbett in Fisherfield. Descended initially SE on the grassy shoulder, then stony and heathery, easier going from about 550m. Aimed a little north of east and made good progress back to the river, then a pleasant walk back to Corrie Hallie.Owen B26/06/2021
With Alex McBride we set off from the Corrie Hallie around 08:30 on Friday 11/06/21, hiking into the Fisherfield Forest, but we had a navigational mishap and we stayed on the track, passing Achnegie. Before fording the two rivers and pitching the tents at the bottom of Gleann na Muice Beag (NH048785) around 14:30. We then set off to get the two western munros Ruadh Stac Mor and A’ Mhaighdean, but I turned back (moving too slow and tired), Alex bagged both returning to the tents for 21:30. Saturday 12/06/21; we set off aiming for the eastern 3 munros and 1 corbett, but I was fighting a low blood sugar most of the day, in the end we only summited Beinn a’ Chlaidheimh (913.96m), limited views. Then Sgurr Ban (989m), the mist had lifted by now, giving a great panorama of the hills I should have done. We returned the same way via Loch a’ Bhrisidh, getting back to the tents almost 11hrs later. Sunday 13/06/21; we hiked out visiting Shenaval bothy and arriving at the cars for 14:30.chillyman812/06/2021

Solo for my final 4 Munros. After night sleeping in hire car after visit to Gordonstoun. In from Corrie Hallie -set up my laserlight tent in glen then hammered up east slope at a good pace , wearing my trusty Walsh fells shoes. After bite stop - enjoyed a spot of level running along the high ridge linking the various tops - an amazing place to be running solo - until with a sense of mixed feelings arrived at the summit of Beinn Tarsuin -my last Munro-sat for a long time enjoying the views and sense of peace all around. Then doubled back and out for tops before down and a tough big rough energy sapping ascent to add Corbett of Creag Rainich to make a good proper long day of it and down in the evening to tent, and food and deep sleep- until awoke feeling strangely cold to find snow covering the tent(in May)Chris Pearson02/05/2009
