Stopped to have a look for the supposed OS bolt which seems to have disappeared due to the road cutting. Easiest Tump I’ve done for a while. | BigJ | 23/04/2021 |
Think I've done my dues to this summit having ten days later walked all the way to it from the Quiraing!! Two car loads up from Glenbrittle to the Quiraing and gorgeous climb up to the summit spire of the Prison, walk round the path below eastern cliffs and on to Sron Vourlinn then back over Marilyn summit Meall na Suiramach. Then off to the coast to search for dinosaur footprints. | vegibagger | 15/05/2017 |
What is there to say? You do need to leave the car though. | Colin Crawford | 23/10/2016 |

Fence line east side of road cutting. Parking to North. First hill of the trip, nice easy start! | RHW | 30/04/2016 |
Must have driven this a few times, back into the 90's. Obvious crest in road, w Jenx | nordicstar | 08/02/2016 |
A retrospective bag I suppose despite not stopping as we drove over it 3 times today to run the Trotternish Ridge. N to S then hitched back (over top again) - patiently stopping at viewpoints along the coast with our kind lift, despite being famished after a long day out and wanting our supper. | Chris Pearson | 20/07/2012 |
How can I be the first to log this one? Come on people, wake up. | Martin R | 26/05/2008 |
Sightseeing on way to Uig round N end of island; were there such things as TuMPs in those days? | Aye Jimmy | 30/07/1996 |
stopped for a rest on cycle ride from Portree to the path on S side of Quirang. With brother, Pete. This was before we had cars, before the bridge, much of the A855 was single track and poorly surfaced. Cycles were not hired out on Sundays then and locks were not provided 'because people lose them' despite our protestations that we would be leaving the bikes for 3 or 4h to walk into the Quirang. | pwheeler | 27/05/1985 |
