Bus from Craignure along A849 to road end south-west of Bunessan school. Road towards Loch Assapol then towards Saorphin. Faint track up rightwards about 200m before farm, then westwards across rough grass and heather (slow going) to top. High cloud, dry. View hazy but extensive — Scarba, Jura, Colonsay, Staffa, Treshnish. Down SSW to reach Uisken road south-east of phone box. Unsure whether enough time both to tackle another hill and be sure of ferry to mainland, so past Ardachy to Ardalanish Bay for a paddle (no time for a proper swim), then road to Bunessan for bus to Craignure. | mainnirnamfiadh | 04/09/2018 |
From SW, near phone box, via SW summit (similar elev) then boggy heathery traverse. Then back to Fionnphoirt for dinner and pub. | RHW | 30/05/2015 |
