Parked at gate to forest operations and up the track made by timber extraction vehicle to almost the summit. Dry and dusty today, but could be very muddy. | Minto | 29/05/2023 |
Up from Broadford campsite. Trees now clear felled and relatively easy passage late in afternoon, once harvesters had stopped work. A few trees and some windthrow remaining on the summit, exact point difficult to identify | Colin Crawford | 10/05/2023 |
working in broadford a quick bag up through the trees after work. | robertphillips | 20/09/2021 |
From S as per vegibagger, but lower slopes replanted and dense in places. On reaching mapped ride, straight up thru fairly open spruce. Descent same way as mapped ride is tussocky. | RHW | 29/06/2021 |
In the dark from NG 6344 2397 where I reversed the car into the opening. Excellent gravelled track up to NG 6360 2471 after which it was an unmitigated nightmare, probably compounded by it being dark although head and hand torches saved the day. A lot of, lot of wind throw from this approach - avoid! | jonglew | 27/12/2018 |
Things have got easier for this one since felling west and south west of summit.
Best route park on Lay by at 632240. Walk along road 60-70m.cross over to north side and5metre snicket will take you on to a parallel path. Walk 380 metres to a gate 630243 then turn up hillside. Stl hard work terrain but once you've reached corner of the forest at 632247 you only need to go about 2-300metres further up slope next to the forest and then head into forest in a fairly wide section with two or the felled trees to negotiate and you're at the summit. Skye TuMP no 254 | vegibagger | 17/07/2017 |
nice day out with luna, too much more compilcated route than i needed too and got really muddy | BigNick | 10/01/2016 |
On a stormy day, gave up on Belig and did this hill (Coruisg directions thanks)and Am Meall | nordicstar | 01/06/2014 |
Hill largely covered by coniferous plantation – summit has small rock outcrop, but almost blocked by fallen trees.
Ascent by south ridge from path at NG63442400 through dense plantation with fight to summit. Decent of north ridge involves further fight before joining NW-SE ride on NE side of hill. No views. | Coiruisg | 14/05/2009 |
