From the church, skirt round the cows, no issues with the access.Matt290122/01/2022
Delightful but tinged by GOML signage. Trumpan church interesting too.jimbloomer12/04/2018
gorgeous little peninsula of Ardmore Point with jaw droppingly beautiful sunny panorama views across to all the western isles The Uists and Harris plus the close by islands of Isay, Mingay and Clett just to the south in Loch Dunvegan. Considerably GOML signs discouraging people from setting foot on the peninsula along to Ardmore House. Big family gathering at the house where I took the courage and went to gently discuss the signs. Owners David and Jeanette were aparently away for the afternoon in Portree. The members of the family gathering got a bit arsy with me when I explained what I'd like to discuss and odered me out of the garden. As one of the more conciliatory ones was walking back with me to the gate and I was about to give him my phone number so I could talk to the owners sometime, he noticed their car returning along the isthmus. Ended up with a long friendly constructive chat to the 86 year old David and got his take on the signs and access to the little hill summit and heavegibagger30/05/2017
Used farm track initially passed some quiet Highland cattle then uphill from the ruined farmsted to a good summit viewpoint for such a small coastal Tump near Trumpan.Dugswell207/05/2016
Here for the brass plate. TP:UK log: We'd heard some interesting stories about the landowner and they definitely didn't want dogs on the land, so we left Charlie back at the holiday cottage and headed out alone. We followed the fence line along the coast and saw some lovely coastline including a double arch. Brass plate easily spotted on the point. Stunning views lovely location ;-)thejackrustles23/09/2015
After Isay trip: a swift half at Neist then up here with Adrian R. Parked at right-angle bend in yellow road, good track then clifftop path (great scenery and avoids upsetting folk in Ardmore House). Admiralty trig (brass plate) in concrete by summit boulder. returned via Ard Beag (29 p24ish); stopped to chat to a seakayaking couple who had paddled round from Sconser.RHW09/08/2014
Sunny evening bag with Rob W. Nice peninsula with coastal cliffs.Adrian09/08/2014
Nice headland with Hydrographic Brass Plate at summit. Easy once the big horned Highland cattle are negotiated .chalky195301/03/2014
