2 of 4: On the way back from Cruach nan Cuilean. Then drove to east of Whistlefield for Beinn Ruadh. With Karen. | ChrisR | 07/06/2023 |
Parked at the end of the mast track. Took right hand path rather than kept on the way out and ended up climbing up steep slopes to summit of A Cruach. Did more lumps and bumps on the ridge on the way there than I needed to. Found much better path line from top of wall from A' Cruach coll all the way back to mast on return. 4.2 miles round trip. Quite slow going in parts if you aren't on the path | JulieB | 20/04/2023 |
Parked on the B836 at the gated track entrance, point 149m. Simple walk up on track then path through grass. Solo. Went on, in the mist, to find the Marilyn. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 18/03/2023 |
After Cruach nan Cuilean. Great view of Loch Striven. | duchally | 18/03/2022 |
“Up the S ridge”. Expecting a pleasant ridge walk? – uh, uh, think again. A fair hill path starts from the mast but vanishes having climbed steeply up the SW side of A’Chruach when a ‘path’ is seen beside the wall below L. From wall, bits of animal and ATV track fade in and out over very rough vegetation and multiple false tops to final out of sight one, use these because every metre on these is one less metre of purgatory off them. Don’t even think about skirting around the W flanks of these – the knee deep grass hides potential leg breaker holes at every other footstep. Promising ATV track descends adjacent to earlier wall, but vanishes in extreme tussocks. | Isbjorn | 17/10/2020 |

Along the private road from the B836 to its end and then a nice path until making a direct line to the top. A nice hill. | Alan Moore | 11/04/2018 |
Approached from the S, initially following a good track. Shapely hill. Summit appears to be a grassy bump with some embedded rocks at NS0426883505. | ger | 07/05/2017 |
