Good parking next to the bins and grit before the bridge on the Braes road. A gate to the right of Corry cottage takes you through to another gate and access to the hill. There is a path of sorts higher up. 3.75 hours return with CM and Ger. Clear but overcast. | bolton | 01/12/2022 |

Following detailed instruction starting from lay be just beyond LeckelmmGardens. This means a bit of a walk along the v busy road. Then followed info re up and through forest. Knee high heather until much higher up hill. Wonderfulmviews. Touched every top ! | VerySlowPlodder | 22/06/2022 |
Parked at NH 1462 9301 near bins and road sand. Crossed bridge and walked to Corry Cottage. Path starts at gate to right just before cottage, crosses field diagonally to another gate. Thereafter minor animal paths in general direction of summit. Lovely semi-frozen lochan just before upper reaches, plus massive cairn around trig. True summit 150m further on. Best views from trig area and lochan. | willyross | 02/04/2022 |
Braes route as previously described. Once on the ridge, stick to the lower path avoiding the endless ups and downs. Snowy and sunny, great views. | iangalbraith | 05/12/2021 |
As per Nozzer's excellent instructions - nice walk up, although path was feint in parts. Parked NH 1462 9301 (very narrow roads, so careful not to annoy residents). Path starts at gate to right and just before Corry Cottage NH 1480 9299 | carole engel | 02/09/2021 |

From Leckmelm Farm. | Peterb | 09/05/2019 |
I climbed this twice in four days, because I missed the summit first time. Mad, I know. The first time, I parked up high at Braes of Ullapool and found a way through the forest to the ridge. Came down past Corry Cottage (so had to walk back up the road). Second time, parked low at Braes and followed the low path, then the Allt an Tota. Back the same way. I preferred the second way. | Pete R | 08/05/2019 |

Started from the Ullapool hill path, over Meall Mor, and Maol Chalaisgeig, and then zig-zagging up from Loch a'Choire Duibh through a maze of rocky shelves, I managed to hit the summit straight off despite having forgotten my map. No worries finding the way down, the snow was so soft and deep, even heavy snowfall could not obliterate my trail home. | Gill | 28/12/2017 |
From The Braes. Evening ascent. A long slog. Saw Ivo and Laura leave! | Play2End | 02/09/2017 |

From View point sign at Leckmelm. Just room for one car. | NormanW | 14/05/2017 |
From Leckmelm, asked at farm if ok to park and granted, no suitable space alongside the road. Track then up through woods, had a stalking in progress sign however after midday and saw no-one. If it were a problem the Braes route may be better. After track to 260m cut easily up durect to trig and top. | nordicstar | 30/07/2016 |
Lots of space down by the farm. Quick and easy the way we went, though no sunbathing or view gazing opportunities at the top today. Region 15 complete. | jenx | 30/07/2016 |

From Braes of Ullapool..into forest via path, then up by water or hydro path to ridge then up to summit. Fine viewpoint and shelter at cairn, wandered over what appeared to be higher ground nearby. With Kenny and Alison | N.Morters | 01/05/2016 |
Up from Leckmelm Farm on good zig-zag path to deer gate, then headed straight for top over rough heather-clad slopes. | jonglew | 23/07/2015 |

From the end of the public road at Braes. Continued to about 150926 then stayed fairly close to the right bank of the stream. Some long heather at first but it gets easier higher up. | Topographer57 | 14/10/2014 |

Cloud about the level of the top. Pleasant walk up from Leckmelm - good track up to a gate in the top fence, then struck straight for top. | dal | 23/05/2014 |
Parked Leckmelm Farm. Track starting by Allt a Chlair with sign to viewpoint. Crossed deer fence and up easily up to summit. | AndrewFinnimore | 17/05/2014 |
From the Braes in bright autumnal sunshine. Spent couple of hours on summit snoozing, gaping at the view and reading my Kindle. | Martin R | 12/10/2013 |

Parked on minor road east of the A835 at Tir Aluinn House and ascended through the forest, before slanting uphill. Great views, especially over Ullapool. | JohnW | 11/06/2012 |
Walked up the Ullapool Hill Path to the top, and then along the rough undulating ridge via Maol Calaisceig to the trig point. The summit is about 150m from the trig point. Not the shortest route, but one giving superb views. | martin_hall | 19/04/2012 |
From Meall Cruaidh to the southeast. I explored the top to make sure I'd been to the highest point. Then southsoutheast to pick up the path to Leckmelm. A fine end to a two-day backpack. | Alan Moore | 03/06/2011 |
From Braes of Ullapool? | Geoff Briggs | 26/08/2007 |

Visited on a sunny afternoon, on foot following a path from Ullapool, while car wheel bearing was being replaced. First longish walk since foot injury - was aching a bit afterwards. | RHW | 26/06/2006 |

From the Braes Of Ullapool with Shaky. A bit of a slog through seemingly endless rough ground on an overcast day. Got to the top just as the snow swept in. A decent legstretcher though. | NotReallyABagger | 02/01/2003 |
