15th and final top of an epic circular from the Taychreggan hotel, climbing Casteal Suidhe Cheannaidh, Cruach Achadh Craoibhe, Cruach Airdeny South top, Cruach Airdeny, Cruach Mheadhonach, Carn Gaibhre, Beinn Ghlas East top, Beinn Ghlas, Beinn Ghlas West top, Cnoc Loch a' Bharrain, Sgorr Mhor, Cruach Fearna, Beinn Dearg and Carraigh Gheal, heading NE to then follow a wind turbine track veering off to pass close to Lochan Dubha then an Easterly direction to drop onto the forest road, veering off to head N then NE to drop onto another road and from this i headed up through the trees to the top. Nice knoll surrounded by trees. I recorded 274m @ NN 00275 22506, descending and profiling around Loch nan Nasgan (perhaps should be called after this Loch as it is nearer) heading to forest track and following this all the way out to the main road and then into Kilchrenan and the Kilchrenan Inn (closed at the time). I got picked up by my Airbnb host eventually en-route to the Taychreaggan.Dazingdale06/05/2019
Bus along B845 to road end for West Loch Awe Timber Haul Route, north of Kilchrenan. Along WLATHR to right turn about 005219 on to hydro/forestry road, and right again about 001223 on to road towards Loch Nant. Shortly afterwards right into forest and up through trees (rather tricky) to summit clearing. Warm and sunny, with midges, but no view (trees). Back down through trees (rather trickier) to road for Loch Nant. Should have turned north, but mistakenly returned to 001223 and took newer, broader, higher forestry road, which gave good views but ceased abruptly about 991236 above felled area, necessitating slow and tiresome descent over forestry rubbish to about 993238. Once back on proper road, turned west for Clach Bhadan and Cnoc Loch a’ Bharrain.mainnirnamfiadh12/06/2018
Can drive to nearby on good forest roads from NE if prepared to ignore the 'No authorised vehicles' sign forest ride to the west of it.vegibagger24/05/2018
