Straight up from the farm track in Gleann Ba'n at 852 076. Its neighbour Tom na Brannain is worth a visit, weird rock shapes. | DavieRuts | 19/06/2022 |
Bus to Ardfern road end, road to (daffodils, snowdrops, and catkins by verge) and behind Barbreck House (standing stones in yard), bridge across river, farm road almost to Barnlunich, up LRT above Sluggan Burn, up greener LRT into Gleann Bàn (very pleasant walking), across mostly close-cropped grass with some tracks to summit. Sunny and very mild (this was the day of the highest winter temperature in Britain since at least 1878). Very hazy: visibility only a few miles. Back down to Gleann Bàn, making for Cnoc Gleann Bàn. | mainnirnamfiadh | 26/02/2019 |
Mossy outcrop HP. #1 of 3 from Turnalt - asked at house and OK to park. Crossed river via fallen tree but would have been easier to paddle across. Steeply up thru wood then 3 nice hills, a few hours after Dazingdale. | RHW | 13/05/2018 |
8th tump of 16 on a 24.5km loop from Kames Farm to the Lord of the Isles pub in Craobh Haven, the 1st 7 were with RHW. We climbed Carn Dearg, Tom Soilleir, Cruach na Seilcheig SW top, Cruach na Seilcheig, Cnoc Loch an Daim, Creag Chlachach and Druim Buidhe, there Rob headed off on his own route and I proceeded SW crossing the 228m spot height, continuing to the summit, recording 259m @ NM 84941 07778 (other high points recorded were 258m @ NM 84941 07780 and 259m @ NM 84946 07787). Nice grassy knolls. Descent SE to track that took me round to climb to Cnoc Gleann Bann... | Dazingdale | 13/05/2018 |
