7th top of 9 on a circular from Glecknabae, climbing Barlia, Corval, Torran Turrach, Muclich, Black Hill and Sight hill, tricky descent to road then following this for a bit before heading out on a ridge back into open terrain. No real difficulty getting onto this one. Views ahead to Torran Turach my next hill...Dazingdale19/05/2021
Left car at wemyss bay, ferry over to isle of bute, biked up to near kilbride farm, glecknabae hill, torran turach, badlia hill, kilbride hill, windy hill repeat, kames hill.robertphillips13/03/2020
A round of nine tops in the north of Bute, one of my most tiring outings of this year. I can only echo Jon's comments on the appalling terrain, though he seems to have omitted the deep marshy areas which saw me soaked to the thighs on a couple of occasions. Glecknabae, Torran Turach and Badlia are only moderately rough but the others are truly dreadful. Probably best tackled in a dry spring.Colin Crawford28/09/2017
Parking at ferry terminal for a round of 7 hills. Seemed a long slog from Barlia Hill - 4 times I photographed what I thought was this hill, each time to top out on high ground and have to delete my photo! No paths, a definite slog through bracken, heather, tussocks and wet ground. On to Muclich Hill.jonglew27/08/2017
