6/10 After Creag Bhan via the dam and track back up other side to rough moorland and bog up fence side to turn right up steep rough open area with forest edge on left to cairned summit of Cnoc Sithean. Shovelling down fruit and nut mix helped fuel the legs. Merciful good deer path down SW through widely spaced pines - to rides to link with path entering Cologin Forest - managed by Scotland Forest and Land - the latest name change requiring it appears all named signs to be replaced, at what cost? To be fair they do a good job encouraging recreation and conservation including a 200 year (yes 200 yr) habitat improvement plan in the Cairngorms to further encourage pine martins, which are apparently currently making a spectacular recovery in Scotland!Chris Pearson12/11/2023

Small cairn in rough grass above tree line, accessed by plunging into mature pines from firebreak. Good views over Oban. Raining. Parked at Cologin.Denise 17/03/2020
From Cnoc Cologin on several forest paths and rides, easier than expected. Large area of open grass on summit. Good views of Oban.RichardM17/03/2020
Short local trip to test new boots. Bus to Lower Soroba, A816 then farm road to Tullich and on towards Loch Gleann a’ Bhearraidh. Leftwards on Ariogan track as far as gate about 856274, across grassy pasture to fence about 856270, then steeply up over grass and heather through bracken, following edge of forest, to open summit area. Sunny intervals, some cloud. Trees block view to east, otherwise panorama over Mull, Firth of Lorn, and Oban. On descent turned right at first gap into forest, then left through trees down north-eastwards less steeply than ascent. From fence back to Ariogan track, then leftwards to road past Tullich and A816 back to bus stop. Oh, and the boots performed well.mainnirnamfiadh25/08/2018
Hill 6 of 6 bit convoluted route findings from dam. Into forest then escape out of it to north and up track then steeply up next to forest. Confusion as my 1:25k map on phone shows all forested but is clear all around the summit.. Clear grassy hillsidevegibagger19/05/2018
14th and final tump of the day on a 23km route from the Waterworks on the A816 to Soroba, climbing Fair Coillich, Barr Leathan, Cnoc Fraoich, Cnoc Fraoich Sw top, Carn Breugach NE top, Carn Breugach, Am Barr and its Western top, Cnoc na Faire, Cruach Lerags, Cnoc Cologin, Cnoc na Culaige, Cnoc Loch Gleann a' Bhearraidh and Creag Bhan descending to the Loch head and using the track then veering off to follow Eastern Edge of forestry cutting in to push my way through dense imaature spruce then very steeply using trees and rocks and vegetation to obtain the summit area, recording NM85431 26984 near the Cairn. Descent via minichannel using woodrush and immature trees to descend North then Ne back beside the waterworks onto the main road then jogging to get back to Soroba, with 5 minutes to spare before the last bus back to Oban and my date with Wetherspoons!Dazingdale07/05/2018
From Gallanach Beg, Tump 2 of 6. After Creag Bhan, across dam, some densish spruce. 5m pitch of near vertical woodrush just N of summit. Route WSW to Cologin fairly easy, mostly rides and paths.RHW08/06/2015
