Parked at Knockfarrell Vitrified Fort Car park - Explored fort dropped off far end (past Scots Pines) and circled to Knockfarrell village - then ridge path to hill summit and trig. Returned via cats back. Pretty hill with a wonderful views. Lovely deep snow. Clear blue sky.summitter20/01/2018
Last hill of the day, from the big and very icy Knockfarrel car park. An excellent stroll in the snow, with fine views all round. A bit of dodging, limbo dancing and crawling under wind throw just in case you weren't sure it was a proper Marilyn.Gill15/12/2017
Sunny morning, hill 2 for the day. Parked at the forest car park GR 478574. Track past the Cnocmor lodges where on owner has too much time and too much wood to fashion fun large wood sculptures. At where track bends NE a small gravel pit and faint path easily missed on the left. Followed path to fence below summit and turned right to trigpoint. Fine view to Wyvis and Strathconon.N.Morters22/10/2016
From Blackmuir CP. Then along the ridge to Knock Farril CP. before doubling back to Blackmuir. With Karen.ChrisR08/08/2016
With Jenx from end road parking by Lochview house above Loch Ussie. Asked and given permission. A soggy path to col then up the forest fence path negotiating fallen trees. Top looks like it is trig not stile. Woods all being cleared / cut out.nordicstar05/02/2016
A pretty hill but a bit spoilt by the ongoing forestry works.jenx05/02/2016

From car park at Knockfarrel. 8/8 cloud cover, mod vis. With PM.CJM11/02/2015
Solo. From Conon Bridge Railway Station. Walked to Knock Farril and then followed path SW towards Cnoc Mòr. Initially good but then difficult to follow due to fallen tree branches. Path going round to S of summit so struck up hillside to trig point. Highest point probably mound in forest near stile. Found a newly cleared path, not shown on my 1:50,000 map, going steeply down western slopes. This took me to Jamiestown. Bus to Conon Bridge for train.pwbellarby27/01/2015
Hill awash with purple heather. Grabbed while doing the trig.BigJ02/09/2014

During a New Year week near Beauly. Stroll along the track from Knockfarrel with Martin66, J, JC, Otis, Shaky & the Harts. The most difficult bit was stumbling around the felled forest trying to find the highest point. Settled for the trig point having tripped over various detritus near the stile.NotReallyABagger30/12/2012
Pleasant ridge walk from car park at NH 503 583.martin_hall31/03/2012
Woodland walk from Strathpeffer, though quite a lot of forest has been felled. Direct ascent through forest blocked by fallen trees at one point, traversed L to avoid them and regain path. Trig on top.Aye Jimmy25/10/2011

Easy jog from Knockfarell on dry morning with high grey cloud.Dugswell203/06/2010
Nice walk from Knockfarrel CP, over heathy ridge, forest, good views. Little ascent though,I reckon a run from Conan Br would have been good for more of a challenge but there was plenty of interest in my 90 mins walk.pwheeler27/05/2010
