5/10 Tussocky hidden dog-leg fire break found gratefully upwards from col to SW to the mercifully forest free summit of Creag Bhan. Took a gamble and found a tree free route the short way down to reservoir side path & dam wall. This is Oban's water supply and access track makes it -popular with dog walkers. Down steps and track back up other side to rough moorland and bog up fence side to turn right up steep rough open area with forest edge on left to cairned summit of Cnoc Sithean. Shovelling down fruit and nut mix to fuel the legsChris Pearson12/11/2023

A816 out of Oban, then farm road to Tullich and on towards Loch Gleann a' Bhearraidh. Rough track up right about 852274, then faint footpath along line of fence to isolated fence post just past 132m spot height. Across fence, backtrack south-eastwards a little, then faint path up through narrowest part of belt of trees to open ground, then south-westwards to top. Rough tussocky grass, but faint paths along crest of ridge. Late afternoon spring sunshine. Pleasant though not spectacular views over Firth of Lorn and towards Cruachan. Brief glimpse of snowy top of Beinn a' Bheithir. Back down much the same way.mainnirnamfiadh27/04/2018
