Had a smashing 7 mile route planned up the tourist route from My ideal to first do Ben Hope then the two other tops on the way down. In the end was pleaded enough to manage the Munro. Snow from 400m. Calf deep from 700m. Total white out from 800m. Only way could tell was going up hill was because it was still hard work. Blinding snow on summit only time for a quick photo then off on a SSW compass bearing 5 miles in 6 hours. A great day.mntainman06/05/2021

Day started fine and humid. After long drive from Northumberland, we went up from the car park with full packs and tents with the hope of wildcamping on the summit. Weather turned on us halfway up with rain but worse was to come. We abandoned heavy packs before last push to the summit. Weather came in really hard on the top with high winds and cold freezing rain. Visibility dropped and we had to use GPS to get back off the top. My extra layers were still in my pack further below and we had to make a hasty retreat after bagging the top. Shivering with cold, wind, and more rain... we abandoned the idea of camping on the top and set up camp back at the car park. My first Munro bagged.NorthernWayfarer01/08/2018
