Logged Descriptions  (logged by 19 users)ByDate of Ascent
3/10: 4hr 20 min solo afternoon circuit (after dog walking duties) from Kerrera jetty linking 10 closely packed small hills on the southern fringes of Oban. From mast skirted farm to short climb then down SE to gate and rising angled climb above wall on sheep pastures up to higher hills of much rough moorland, dead bracken, forests, random fire breaks, and a reservoir to loop around. Icy cold in shadows with low sun in my eyes on sunny side.Chris Pearson12/11/2023
First Tump after heart attack earlier in the year. Return visit to take GPS summit reading. Bus to Glengallan Road. By McKelvie Road and Glenshellach Road to Gallanach Beg. Through farm and up north-east ridge. Light cloud, sunny intervals, moderate breeze. Clear views of Sound of Kerrera. Back to Gallanach Beg by ascent route. Track northwards to meet track up from Kerrera ferry, then SRWS track to Pulpit Hill and down into Oban.mainnirnamfiadh13/09/2019

8th and final tump of the day with Charles Everett, having 1st climbed Druim Mor we headed over to Kerrera to complete all the tumps on a circuit then back on the ferry to climb Dun Uabairtich. I walked up the road, over a fence to profile around the property and then bypassed the first knoll to head up to the summit, recording top as NM 83429 27499. Off to Wetherspoons for nourishment, then Charles took his van to sleep next to the transmitter mast.Dazingdale11/05/2018
