Anticlockwise Round of two from the private estate road, with Darren Giddins | vegibagger | 12/05/2018 |
6th tump of 10 today, back with Charles Everett, finding the private road past the Craignish castle estate then the road turns a bend and we parked where a track leads down to some woodland at NM77289 02210.
The attractive track took us to a stile past a vegetated lochan then another bw topped stile before we climbed up the ridge and proceeded Nne to the top. I recorded 72m @ NM 76974 02767. We re-traced our steps then continued South heading for Druim A' Chaisteil... | Dazingdale | 12/05/2018 |
After 11251 Druim Beag. Road south from Achanarnich to junction about 772022, then down track to edge of wood. Stile has awkwardly-placed strand of barbed wire. Up faint paths on to ridge and up to summit. Back down to near stile and started to make for Druim a’ Chaisteil, but had lost enlarged map (for poor eyesight) earlier, and now uncertain whether time for it before last bus, so returned to Achanarnich approach road and turned towards Craignish Castle, the B8002, and Ardfern for the bus. Warm sunshine began after the castle! | mainnirnamfiadh | 20/04/2018 |
2nd of 3 very nice coastal tumps via castle access road. Descended to coast (gate) then along beach. | RHW | 07/06/2015 |
