From W Merkland in foul weather. A long slog up A' Ghlaise on an ATV track then Tionall, Direach and Meall a' Chleirich. Interesting descent to Loch an t-Seilg initially on a deer track, then negotiating massive boulders and holes.sclater10/09/2023
Initially with Mr.Sclater but by the time I had reached the summit he had headed off in search of possible sub tumps or something.Cloudy and wet.ARM10/09/2023
With Rhona and Struie. Parked on grass verge at West Merkland. Proceed north up estate track until past the marked right turn to climb Ben Hee. There is a hidden from view metal bridge to cross Allt na Glaise. Up the long, easy slope of A'Glaise and easy walking along the ridge to the first Fiona. Carn an Tionail. Head SE on easy ground to bealach and short climb to Beinn Direach. Descend SW and if you're lucky you can pick up an ATV track which goes all the way back to the original estate track, contouring around the base of Meall A'Chleirich.DampandDusty23/07/2023
From West Merkland, across footbridge and then up south ridge. Descent to rugged bealach before ascent of Beinn Direach.benalder28425/02/2023

A nice White Christmas walk in soft snow. Up the track, over the metal bridge and up the ridge. Interesting descent to the bealach with Beinn Direach. Quite a surprise to find all those rocky shelves to dodge round, and slightly relieved that the mist had cleared. On to Beinn Direach.Gill25/12/2017

Cycled up from west Merkland up to about 240m, the due west up steep but comfortable grass onto the smooth south ridge. I reached the summit just before the incoming mist spoilt the fine view. Descended much rougher NE ridge towards Direach.Topographer5721/08/2015
