Parked near the turning to Gortain, following the track to the bird cliff which leads to the very cliff edge summit of Beinn Riabhach. Entertainingly over the MacPhie of Cnoc mull-Araich, the various would-be southern tops of Beinn Bhreac arrayed along two ridges, and over the wall by a wobbly stile to the N summit. Returned broadly SW, using animal tracks where possible. The cliff side section is superb.Nick Down121/04/2019
From Gortain on the path, very easy going to the splendid top, then along the cliffs to Beinn BhreacColin Crawford27/07/2018
3rd tump of 4 on a 20.9km Mid-Colonsay loop climbing all Macphies en-route, just because....I can! Staying at the Backpackers Lodge. Nice weather now from a dismal start, Beinn nan Guidarean and Beinn Bhreac via Macphies then Sw then Ssw passing the wonderful crags of Aoinadh an t-Sruth to the summit at the precipice. Whoah! Climbed down to the grassy ledge to get some further shots of the overhang! Onwards to look at the Standing stones of Lower Kilchattan before climbing up to Carn Mor...Dazingdale08/05/2018
B8086 from Scalasaig to Kilchattan and track to Gortain. Notice on gate indicates route to Pigs' Paradise and bird cliffs. Where main track turns right, straight ahead up path to ridge. Top at very edge of steep drop, and wind very strong, so crawled through sheep droppings to touch summit with outstretched hand. Spectacular views of coast below, but little farther. Down from cliff edge and north-eastwards to Beinn Bhreac.mainnirnamfiadh27/09/2016
