From beinn bheag down to the atv track and followed before taking the straight line path across the grass to reach summit | The-Z-Man | 24/03/2024 |
Accompanying SteveG on his Colonsay Tumps. | Minto | 07/06/2023 |
From Kiloran up Balnahard track. Then up hillsdie to Beinn Bheag. Back to coll and up path to Carn Eoin and then across to Beinn Bhreac (rough path through heather for most of the way). Dropped down through wet gully to Balnahard track and walked out to beach where one of our party had a swim. Walked back along Balnahard track with a detour up to Meall na Monadh and Meall na Suiridhe. Fantastic day. | Fife Walking | 18/10/2022 |
Hill 3 of 7 on a clockwise circuit. | Minto | 09/04/2022 |
From Colonsay House on a round of the hills on Colonsay's NE end. Beinn Eoin -> Beinn Bheag first then across to here. On to Dun Crom -> Cnoc na Faire -> Pairc Gharbh -> Beinn nam Fitheach -> Cnoc Callanta. Also picked up the MacPhies and a trig bolt (searched for but not found) at Leac Bhuidhe on an 11 mile round with Andrew P. | jonglew | 10/09/2021 |
Followed the track after Beinn Bheag to the raised beaches, then over grass to the summit. Lovely coastal scenery and view point. | LizH | 22/05/2021 |
From beach CP across the sand of beautiful Kiloran Bay, over a fence and grass to the concrete track. A zigzag pathlet up Carnan Eoin, passing primroses. Down to the telegraph gully and steeply up Beinn Bheag. Through heather down the far side to the track, leaving it to ascend Meall na Monadh. More or less in a straight line to Dun Crom - the electric fences were switched off. Round the obligatory tour des summits in the two highest rocky eminences. Too close to call: if anything the highest point on the scramble western top might edge out the phogrsphed summit in the eastern top. Back along the track and across the beach. | Nick Down1 | 19/04/2019 |
From the Balnahard track, easy pasture to a fine rocky dome. Just to the south, Meall na Suaraidhe looks to be a superb feature, with two overhanging grassy spikes. Only appalling weather deterred me from visiting | Colin Crawford | 28/07/2018 |
4th tump of 9 on a 19.8km Northerly route from the Backpacker's lodge, climbing Beinn an Sgoltaire, Kiloran Bay, Beinn Inebri, Carnan Eoin and Beinn Bheag descending North to meet the track, bypassing the sheltering cattle and then veering off to climb a grassy incline up the Outcrop to the top. Descent to scramble down and around some outcrops to cross Sruthan na-h-Ulaidhe passing by a drowned lamb en-route to climb towards the complex terrain of Dun Crom.... | Dazingdale | 09/05/2018 |
After Beinn Bheag. Balnahard track to corner at NR 407994, then directly across grass to top. Spectacular waves breaking on coast. Back to corner of track and on to Dùn Crom. | mainnirnamfiadh | 28/09/2016 |
