Plenty of parking by Kilphedir. Walked up the road tpast Upper Torrish, then up the track left of Torrish Burn, which becomes indistinct. Ended up east of point 202, then hints of a path towards Coire nam Maigheach. Streams in spate, found a dry way across just above the confluence at the bottom of the SW shoulder. Then a straightforward plod.Owen B18/09/2023

Fantastic hill once you're on the summit ridge. Lots of deer. From Kilphedir by the bridge where there is one of a series of tourism-related signs. However, there's another sign, a newish Torrish Estates warning sign 2 minutes above the road which asks hikers to call 01431 821691 prior to going onto the hill between 1st July and 15th February (seems rather excessive). No signal so had to drive back to Helmsdale to phone. Pleasant woman confirmed fine, Sundays mostly fine. Worth a look at Kilphedir Broch ruins not far from the bridge.danpquinn04/12/2022
An anti-clockwise round of three Marilyns and four Tumps from Kilphedir.Minto28/07/2022
Lovely walk up the NE ridge and great views from the summit. Came up from the SE Top with Minto.Dangerous Dave28/07/2022
Following Cnocc na Maoile, easy enough moorland then firm summit ridge. Glorious viewsN.Morters26/06/2021
Up from Suisgill along good road which becomes a track and peters out before the shoulder of Creag nan Gearr. along passed west end of Loch Scalabsdale and on to summit. Warm day with refreshing wind. Good views from summit especially of Morven Group of hills. Back by same route.Coinneach31/05/2021
From Torrish up the West side of the burn then a more or less direct line to the food of the hill as it was dry underfoot. After the Marilyn went on to Creag nan Gearr then straight back to the start. 4 hours.NormanW19/07/2020
A circuit from good parking at Kilphedir. Up the track to the end just S of Cnoc na Moile, absolutely easy in dry weather, then to the top. Superb views all round. N along the ridge, rough descent, then deer tracks easily over Blar a'G.D. Bogs nowhere near as bad as Galloway! Big Garvery Burn gives easy going NW (deer tracks) to the ridge leading to Creag Scalabsdale. Easy going up and along the ridge to the summit, fine views. Down SSW ridge, cut SE on steep dry ground, then flat, to gain a feeder for the Craggan Burn. The descent is sh1te. Boggy deer tracks, up and down a lot, only very small, intermittent patches of short grass. When the banks close in and steepen, it's a relief to head up and across easy dry heather to the outward track. I suspect that a better descent would be down the ATV track visible from the hill, which appears to head down above the Torrish Burn.Gill07/02/2020
From Baile an Or, followed Kildonan Burn, atv track to Cnoc Salislaid then east to summit, with Ellie dog.BLACKHILL18/06/2019
After Cnoc na Maolle. Rough ground between 2 Marilyns. Wild weather so hardly able to stand on top. Long walk back to Kilphedir but great daytrimarc223/05/2019
1 of 4: From A897 at Torrish. With David.ChrisR30/10/2017
From bridge west of Torrish, up west side of burn, down east side, mostly on deer tracks high above burn. There's some nice short and dry grass down by the burn but there are also steep and unstable banks and the burn was in spate. SW ridge smooth and short heather :)Topographer5730/09/2017
Solo hill from bridge beyond Torrish, lots of spaces. Followed track and across moor to summit, Returned via burn and short pleasant grass. Should have gone up that way! High cloud and great views.iangalbraith10/08/2017
With an Maoile clockwise from bridge over Torrish Burn. Up track and across mostly easy ground eg burnt heather and short grass up to big summit cairn (2 hrs). Views to Orkney, Ben Hope and across Moray Firth. Cross mostly boggy ground to 2nd Marilyn and down to find vg track back to Kilphedir and road back to starting point.AndrewFinnimore08/04/2017

After Cnoc na Maoile. Across the moors getting easier as crossed Craggan burn and used feeders to that and deer tracks to gain the flank of the Creag and cut directly to the visible col. Easier going after that to summit with fine views on a bright clear day. Back down same way to burn the used this to very easily walk out to start point at Kelphedir.nordicstar14/06/2016
A good walk round from Kelphedir. Useful tracks and animal tracks made the going mostly easy, though the crossing between the two Marilyns was a long distance of quite rough and wet ground. Lovely easy though long walk back followong the stream line.jenx14/06/2016
Kildonan circular. Fine views but very windy.Smudge07/06/2014
Windy but clear views, remote hill ascended after camping at Loch Scalabsdale. Not a good campsite, hard to find a dry bit (-:sotabagger27/05/2013
From site of Suisgill Lodge. Non compliant notices at start of track. Pony paths have been turned into roads for part of their lengths.fasgadh28/07/2011
from Gearr. Drop down across a tussocky col and a long mile up through hail showers on similar ground to the large 8' cairn of mossy grey boulders at the top. 12.05. Paddled through the water covered moor on descent and to car. 5 1/2 hrs.arranc22/05/2009
