After Cairnbeg, along the the path from Dunanford and the unmapped path up the SE ridge. Deep snow near the top. Back the same way, knowing that alternative descents might be trickier in snow.Gill213/01/2021
A stunningly beautiful walk, perfect for an evening stroll after a day of rain. Starts from good parking on the W side of the A97 opposite the Dunanford bridge. Cross the road to find an indistinct, signed path leading to the bridge, then over a stile SE onto the Glac of Barns path. Take the second wide grassy gap in the broom (lovely when in bloom) where a vague path of sorts leads up to pt 390 in the trees. Easy walking through the ancient trees to join a grassy ATV track leading almost to the cairn on Clachcurr. Continue on the track SE to a fence, where a grassy ATV track leads easily down to the Glac of Barns track. Easy walking, superb views.Gill04/06/2020
From WNW, parked before private bridge, open area in broom then paths up to W summit, nice pinewood, track to east summit, cairn in heather, late pm sunshine. Down SW thru gappy broom for CairnbegRHW06/10/2018
