Plenty of parking space alongside the forestry track W of Upper Lenchie. A simple track-walk to the top of Hill of Foudland, with a wee detour along an ATV track to bag Red Hill and its superbly made cairns. Lot's of new tree planting across this hill so the landscape is likely to change in forthcoming years. | summitter | 28/09/2023 |
Cut track through heather (made by the digger at the Stony Hill col?)gave an easy add on after Foudland on descent back to Lenchie. 47 mins run outing. 2 well built cairns on summit surprisingly commanding a view NW to an 8000er -the otherwise unremarkable Wishach Hill - which is the 8000th highest peak in the British Isles!
