6km and 2 tumps after work in the November twilight hour starting at 3.35pm from the main road to the south. A lovely walk into a secluded grassy bowl surrounded by small scrubby hills. Met the friendly and surprised farmer at Braeroddach who commented that it was unusual to get anyone walking past at this time of day. Had left map at home but hills distinctive enough to navigate from memory and on sight route choice. Pushed hard up heather conscious of ebbing daylight on this grey cloudy dull but windless afternoon with icy ground half thawing as a few degrees above freezing today. Top at 16.09 -Scar Hill next reached in a fast 15 mins given the terrain of heather, tussocky grass and dead bracken with a couple of barbed wired fences as well. Wanted to be off this rough terrain before darkness - just achieved -all way back in gloaming -only needed torch to find car keys and undo my boot laces.Chris Pearson15/11/2019
After Scer Hill, cut down fence line, scrubby birch trees, couple more fences to heathery top. Hump insurance policy :-)nordicstar24/01/2019
On way back from Scar Hill. Outcrop by fence. Descended WSW to gate by loch, than back S to main road.RHW28/03/2016
