Parked at entrance to track from the W. Increasingly overgrown with nettles, broom and gorse so switched to the adjacent field edge. An electric fence barring access to the grazed summit field gave me a shock so instead crawled between the lower barbed fencing. A lot of potential summit rocks - some embedded, some piled up. The nearby cows didn't seem to care either way. | summitter | 03/10/2023 |
up track from near the mast. | robertphillips | 28/01/2022 |
The extensive new Inverurie housing development (Osprey Heights)continues to extend up the hillside on the western side of the hill. Barrat Homes cite reasons to live here as the beautiful countryside, stone circles , Whisky Trail, Castle Trail. They forgot to mention easy access to Selbie Hill along the track from SW past derelict building (not -yet -a Barrat Home). Large cairn cluster on open pasture summit. | Chris Pearson | 05/03/2020 |

From SE. Excellent parking at Ordiefauld, (The Cabin Equestrian Centre). Track NNW excellent. Path W non-existent. Up via field edges of arable fields to permanent pasture at summit. No livestock. Descended due E then due N via the wood to road between Sunnybrae and Lowhillside. Then up Lawel Hill. | Minto | 09/04/2017 |
Talked to woman and daughter at Selbiehill for permission. Walking gap between fenced down on the map to the west. At end of this over two easy fences and up western side of wall stubbly field. Barbed wire post removable hate then diagonally right and finally over fence (not electrified) to top. | vegibagger | 23/04/2016 |
Parking at NJ 787 230 (approx).
The path across the road from the mast takes you all the way to the top of the hill, via a dilapidated cottage. | Mudskipper | 01/03/2015 |
