Up the track then headed out along the old fence. Back along the new deer fence, which seemed easier.Chris Peart01/05/2023
From Achnaluachrach limited parking at track end. Up track then over open moorland, little wet in places. Main summit then trig.N.Morters17/04/2022

Bagged the trig before topping out on the Marilyn. What a wet under foot day, visited with big J. good views, Ben stack just sticking its head above the sky line to the NW had us guessing.Nozzer28/10/2020
Drove to the end of the tarred road where there is a parking spot at its junction with the hill road. After reading about how wet the walk is across the top to the summit, we decided to be different and follow the marked track to the south of the hill. Now, bearing in mind that it’s October, it’s been raining solid for three weeks and the area is normally wet anyway, what could possibly go wrong. This was a soggy stumbling route through thigh high vegetation and over various deer fences. We eventually turned north, climbed the hill, climbed another deer fence and arrived at the pillar - soaked. After taking in the Marilyn, the walk back using the normal route was a dawdle.BigJ28/10/2020
Parked at the gate up the farm track before Achnatuachrach, there’s room for a couple of cars. From here I followed the track on foot almost to the high point before picking a route over the unbelievably wet terrain. I was pleased that I followed Nordicstar’s tip to wear wellingtons. Superb viewpoint for little effort.Peterb05/03/2020
As described by Gill. So, so wet underfoot.iangalbraith23/01/2020
Parked at NC681099. Walked up track and then bog trot to summit. Visited trig point then similar return route.raffemeister11/09/2018
A surprisingly long drive up from the main road to Achnaluarach. Despite the bleakness, lots of people live up there. OK parking at the end of the track. Not worth driving up, it’s not far and it’s the best bit of the walk. Once at the ridge, by a gate, you have to plunge into the bogs following the fence. It’s a tedious boggy walk, more or less flat, towards the hill, a mere pimple on the moor. There’s a rather hopeless and very wet ATV track, giving way to better deer tracks which contour below a long low bump down to the loch, which fortunately makes the featureless terrain slightly more interesting. Up onto a sort of low ridge, drier, with a bit of deer track for a while, then rough shaggy bog ground to the tiny cairn. Soaking wet feet. Not a nice walk, glad not to have to do that again. Drove along track to good parking spot (NC 6710 1114). Followed fenceline to NC 6608 1142 then direct to hill summit keeping on N side of loch. Across to trig pillar and then S side of loch for return leg. On drive down track estate worker politely requested we leave the car at end of the track in future. With Carole Engel for outbound leg.jonglew06/04/2018

Lovely hill from Achnaturach, up the track and along the ridge. Don't make the mistake of dropping down to Achatominie as it is freshly planted bogThearlaichdubh18/05/2017

Able to drive up track w Jenx to high point at 310m. Then a welly assisted plod along the new low fence to lochan and then trig and main summits. Back to car in just over the hour.nordicstar25/03/2016
Wellie bagging again! It got drier from near the Lochan.jenx25/03/2016
from SE on track then along deer fence heading for south side of the loch returned north side of loch a bit drier.robertphillips14/06/2015
From SE. Good parking at track end. Moist underfoot.jimbloomer15/05/2015
From east via the track that heads NW from near Achnaluachrach. All routes west from the track summit are bog trots. Probably the best line is to follow the rough tracks on the north side of a deer fence as far as high ground at 660110, then head directly NW, passing south of Loch a'Chaise.Topographer5708/06/2014
Bog trot over from the track.Adrian24/05/2014
Boggy sloggy to nearby trig and the summit. Good views north despite cloud and rain. Tree planting taking place at start of track from Preas.Martin R22/05/2014
Parked at start of a long straight track onto moor. Rapidly and gently on track, through gate, over a second locked gate. Over trousers on as rain became more persistent. Followed tracks made by fence builders about 2 years ago. Over old fence when new one ended after a mile. Across rough moor on a beeline for horizon. and top at 14.30. 3 stones made a token cairn. Trig with no FB 400m away was lower.arranc15/06/2008
Up and own from Achnaluachravh via Loch a'Chaise.Eddie08/07/2006
