From the east, went up the north track, down the south track better more gates | robertphillips | 28/01/2022 |
Easy fast access to Aberdeen and the airport along the new A90, which scythes through the landscape, has made this area popular with the well to do oil & gas set. New high vaulted glass new-builds springing up all about - enjoying the far reaching views to the N and seaward. 2 fields below the summit is the rather 'Boycey' Que Vista (You See) complete with the standard gleaming range rover and speedboat. Access to summit surprisingly not too bad, (despite earlier logs) from crest of track to N -just 3 standard bw fences to straddle across 2 fields to summit at wood corner. No deer fences. Can also with long legs straddle corner fence to wander around plastic and wood debris in wood - remains of kids building dens perhaps? Good views to E over the deep hole of Balmedie Quarry below - used as road hard core for the new A90 etc-leaving an inverse Tump(Under Hill perhaps?). | Chris Pearson | 09/10/2020 |

Ascended from NW not any easier, still several barbed wire and deer fences to cross. | hill walker | 20/10/2018 |
Track from E. New high fences. Over barbed wire through two fields to high point then into overgrown wood just S of chalet (a tip) then followed a faint path to track. | chrisbien | 04/08/2018 |
As a 10k run... approach from west *bad* option | nix_snilloc | 23/03/2017 |
up from the road to the east and eventually up trough tiny bit of woodland to summit at field/NE forest edge. Lots of barbed wire. Probably better to try to get into the field to the NE and then S into the next field and up to it. | vegibagger | 21/04/2016 |
