Parked on a section of old road at HU42792 33611, and up over grass to another peat hag summit. On to Muskna Field.LizH29/08/2021
Within range for a spare half hour outing on drive home after school in Lerwick to Burra. From main road to E -initial rough moorland eased to rough grass in the steeper mid height sheep zone, before a few peat hags and bare peat around summit to 'leave nothing but footprints' across. Two large oil tankers continuing the worrying and much discussed recent trend of them sheltering at anchor just off shore to the E here for weeks awaiting a destination for their oil cargo. SW Force 7 now -near gale becoming Force 9 tonight. If their anchor gives and they can't power away in time the drift would take them onto rocks at Bressay and Noss with its world famous bird colonies. Coincidentally hours late a 400m+ long container ship has become wedged across the Suez Canal blocking shipping and 10% of the world's trade - so accidents do happen.Chris Pearson23/03/2021
From loop in old road, by disused quarry, due E on A970. On to Muskna Field.jonglew07/06/2019

Tussocky grass summit. From nw, a few low fences. No view as the haar is down, hope it clears for pm flight to Fair Isle... Bonxies not aggressive: maybe they too need good visibility to fly.RHW24/06/2016
