After work, after Tesco, after my Covid vaccination jab. Surprisingly dreary grey afternoon. In true Victor Meldrew obsession with blown litter - today's moorland find was a Tesco morrazello cheese plastic bag which complements the Tesco parsnip bag I found on Hill of Dale opposite last week. A fair few of the peaty pools also sadly had something plastic submerged / stuck in them. These hills are probably covered with blown litter from Lerwick - although to be fair on Shetland anything not nailed down does blow away. Whimbrel shot off with rapid wing beats whilst 2 big ravens hung around. From summit the top of the huge oil rig being decommissioned in Dales Voe can be seen whilst to E the top of the Lerwick Power station chimney sticks up into view.Chris Pearson01/03/2021

From sse, gateway with lovely close view of ringed plovers at gate. Heathery summit easily reached. Last tump of a very successful Shetland trip which included an ascent of Sheep Rock on Fair Isle as its main goal. Northlink back to Aberdeen.RHW28/06/2016
