| Lunchbreak walk up and run down from supply day at Anderson High School (Dö Weel and Persevere). The £55 Million 3 year old school is very impressive and well designed (light and airy). Alongside is the 40yr old swimming pool which sprang a leak at the deep end this month and took 7 days to empty to fix. The refill must have drained the big rusty summit water tanks on this hill top. A grandstand view over Lerwick and its approaches to what is regarded as one of the best (most sheltered) natural harbours in Europe. Thee is a photo of WW1 generals stood on the flanks of this hill working out where to put gun defences to defend the approaches. | Chris Pearson | 26/02/2021 |
