From Gloup, parking roadside at HP 5076 0462. Rough vehicle track leads virtually to the high point, although diverted off it for the trig pillar some 70 m NW of the hill summit. Progressed on descending to the southern end of Mare's Pool, before taking Rulesgill due W and on to Hill of Vigon across some rough moorland.jonglew29/06/2019

Lovely walk passed the memorial with Jen, Rick and Tricky.Dugswell230/05/2013
W Jenx, Doug and Tricky. Lovely spot, the Gloup waters shallow and clear. Parked at Kirks and walked to the sad memorial to 50+ sailors who lost their lives in a storm in 1880's 30 miles off the coast of Shetland, rowing boats! Continued on track to trig on rough moorland.nordicstar30/05/2013
